The location of the hotel is perfect. Situated at just a few minutes from the centre of this little resort, we were very close to the bus to take us to the Nevis Range ski slopes. The snow wasn't very good unfortunately, and because of the wind, the second day of ski we were unable to get up on the...

Location convenient for the town centre and Onich. After a long drive and then returning later in the evening from family duties; suffering a terrible virus. This was a most welcoming nights retreat. A little niggle with the booking which was swiftly sorted. Relaxed in a comfortable bar area before retiring to bed. Full breakfast very enjoyable, bed comfortable, room and bathroom...

Went for a drive to Fort William and decided to stay the night. The Cruachan looked interesting with a traditional stone front and very close to the town centre so we booked a room. The reception, bar and restaurant are nice but it goes downhill when you go through to the rooms behind the main building. I'd describe it as...

Booked the Cruachan last minute for a break in Scotland. It's very close to the town centre so ideal for walking in, no transport needed. Ample free car parking. The hotel looks lovely from the outside and the reception and bar area are really nice, as are the staff, really nice people although they all seem to be foreign which...

The Cruachan is designed with a traditional Scottish Highland façade and besides the renovation of internals, it has not lost its original character. The hotel has an excellent location overlooking Loch Linnhe and beyond the loch to the Morvern Hills. Beautiful terrace with the lookout, you can dine watching the nature outside. We only stayed for a coffee this time...

The freshness of the bed linen was questionable, hair under the pillows and the bottom sheet did not seem to have been ironed. The Tea/Coffee tray was not 100% cleaned and the skylight in the bathroom was dripping, this may have been condensation.....? The rest of the hotel was very nice and appeared clean. A very nice breakfast,.

Located on the main road over looking beautiful scenic views of loch Eil. After a 6.5 hr journey we got to fort William on New Year's Eve 2015 late evening, when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was nice and polite, first impressions were overall good, nice clean spacious modern decor, our room was located on the 3rd time...

My husband and I stayed for hogmanay and new year's night. Room was small and had not been properly cleaned from last guests as there were crisps on the floor! Staff mainly friendly and helpful especially on reception. Breakfast good but did not enjoy evening meal. Average hotel and we would not recommend it.

Couldn't complain about anything. Hotel was lovely and only a 5min walk into town. It's right at the side of the loch which gives fantastic views. Would def pay a second visit, great value for money!!! The only slight downfall was there was no entertainment laid on for New Years Eve.

This hotel was ok, the rooms were clean and quite basic but modern-ish. The shower was great and the bathroom was spotless. The bar and restaurant were above average, we didn't have an evening meal but the passing food looked and smelled amazing! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that the walls to the...

The Cruachan is designed with a traditional Scottish Highland façade and whilst the hotel has been, continues to be, sympathetically upgraded and modernised internally to provide all modern comforts, it has not lost its original character. The hotel has an enviable location overlooking Loch Linnhe and beyond the loch to the Morvern Hills.
