Wonderful host, Great food and a peaceful location in the middle of farm fields. Easy to get to and the most relaxing place we stayed on our 7 week trip in the UK. The food was great and they even offer a relaxing Dinner with other guests where you become family. We highly recommend this location and will return. On... More

We stumbled accross the Parrandier by accident when looking for the next stay in our round-trip around Scotland and it turned out to be one of the most exciting experiences during our trip. It's a lovely, unique place and the owners welcomed us with great hospitality. Though the medieval feeling on the outside you have a fresh comfortable room and... More

This is a beautiful conversion of an iconic church in the village of Urquhart. We had a very warm welcome. The bedroom was very spacious, perhaps a little dark but not surprising in this old church. Breakfast was a shared affair with two other couples. There wasn't a huge choice but enough. Maybe 8am for breakfast may be a bit... More

Good to know guests enjoyed our unique place to stay and our warm welcome! ...interesting these especially asked for an earlier breakfast which was not necessary as we are very disciplined and they could be out as early as 8.30 am... We are great believer in getting people together and having breakfast and dinner at the same time for all... More

Our family of 8 people stayed at the The Old Church of Urquhart for 4 nights in early July 2016. We all had high expectations as my mother and sister stayed here a year before. Well, our fabulous hosts, Chris and Andreas ensured that our stay was fantastic in every way. We kind of 'took over' The Old Church and... More

Chris and Andreas have converted this old church into one of the most relaxing spaces in Scotland. The bed was very comfortable and the guests are asked to keep the noise to a minimum after 10pm. The breakfast was excellent and more than we could eat. My only regret is not having the time to tell them what a special... More

Most delighted guests appreciate our 'Island of Peace', a converted scottish church on top of its own paradise hillock inmidst farmland and forrests close to the stunning coastline and the Grampian Highlands. Hope these guests as well return for a longer stay to enjoy in full what is on offer! More

My husband and I stayed for one night on 1st June. We were travelling by motorbike on an unplanned short break in Scotland, just stopping where was available and looked nice. We were fortunate enough to get a last minute cancellation at the Old Church and we were not disappointed. Despite our late arrival ( 6pm) host Kris kindly offered... More

We had a very nice one-night stay at this very extraordinary place. We received a heartly welcome from Andreas and had a great home-cooked three course dinner (fried trout) in a cosy atmosphere (just four guests). Our room was rather large with a newly renovated bathroom. Maybe the most impressive part of the B&B is the "living room" on the... More
