This was our second stay at the Pines but it won't be our last. A beautiful old Victorian house, sympathetically furnished and immaculate, it is my idea of comfort on a budget. The owner is friendly but not over familiar, extremely helpful and mindful of all guests needs. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with en suites complete with...

My wife and I first stayed here in July 2005 when moving house. This trip on 13 November 2012 was business, and I opted to stay overnight at the Pines. Although ownership has changed, the high standards have not. Six very comfortable rooms, quiet & peaceful, just what is needed after 4 hour drive up the A9. My room surprisingly...

We were met by the owner's daughter, who was lovely, friendly and helpful. Good size room, good size bed. Warm and comfortable. Bathroom clean and fresh. Our room was at the front of the house, which is situated on a very busy main road, but secondary glazing cut down the noise. Within easy walking distance of town. Breakfast was average,...

We came to this B & B after a recent visit to Scotland. The B & B was comfortable and was very quaint and traditional and designed to look old fashioned including our room with a four poster bed. This B & B is ideally located for all areas of Elgin and is in walking distance of the centre of...

Very nice building and very attentive host. Room was adequate and decorated in keeping with the building. Nice comfy double bed, freeview tv, wifi, nice ensuite, tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was very good, choice of cooked or cereals etc. Nice and easy to walk into shops/town from hotel. Took maybe 10 minutes maximum but a very easy walk. Parking available.

Everything positive that needs to be said, has been stated. Excellent 5 star B&B, with a great price. We only could stay one night but that was a great night for sure. Beautiful home, great hosts and a pleasant, restfull stay.

I have stayed at the Pines guest house with work many times and I love it. Charles and Helen make me feel very welcome & are great hosts. The beds are so comfy and give a great nights sleep! The rooms are very clean and homely and easy to relax in- unlike generic hotel rooms. Hospitality tray is fantastic. The...

Wow on arrival we were greeted by a stunning piece of Victorian architecture and a warm welcome from the owners. We were shown to our fabulous rooms which were exquisitely furnished and had a lovely hospitality tray. The attention to detail was lovely for example cotton wool, ear buds, shampoo/conditioner and body wash all being provided in the bathroom. The...

When we arrived we received a warm welcome from both Charles and Helen. They both provided excellent suggestions for places to eat and things to do in Elgin and the surrounding area. The room we were shown to was beautiful and spotlessly clean with high quality linen and towels. The breakfast was first-class and you could tell it was high...

We were a party of 6 in three rooms, and did not receive the usual B&B welcome, almost felt we were arriving at an inconvenient time. Very little help given when asked about somewhere for dinner, and little interest in our party. However the following day the owner was more friendly. The rooms we had needed the carpets sorting out they were very uneven...

Gave several suggestions where to eat, these were either not to her liking or too expensive. Carpet exagerated. Myra shower top of the range, built in safety feature, must depress red button to get full power, works perfectly. Breakfast menu- 25 items on menu. Quality rather than quantity.
