This isn’t so much a review of this excellent hotel but a review of the dine at home Valentine’s Day meal due to lockdown. As we’re all stuck at home at the moment we decided to treat ourselves to a special meal for Valentine’s Day. Various hotels and restaurants are offering dine at home meals but we opted for East Haugh House and we were not disappointed. It came with very concise cooking instructions and a cocktail! A lovely scallop dish to start with, the main was lamb with dauphinois potatoes and spinach and two delicious sweets. There was not a single element of the meal that was anything other than sensational. We can’t wait for the time when we can return and have Neil cook it to perfection for us!
Amazing hospitality in beautiful secluded surroundings. Well worth a visit.Food all locally sourced and of high standard no need to leave to seek solace elsewhere.Giant bed gave great nights sleep & yet only minutes away from pitlochry by car.
We enjoyed a really lovely stay here. Room was very comfortable, cosy, nicely decorated and most importantly at this current time-spotlessly clean. The hotel and staff put a lot of effort into procedures and practises to support the effort against covid, yet still managed to create a relaxing environment. The dining and bar areas were tasteful and cosy, and the log burner was kept going. Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent, restaurant quality food. The hotel also benefits from a lovely little terrace area with patio heaters, blankets and parasols. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will to return!
We have just spent three fantastic nights at this gem of a hotel. The surroundings are beautiful, the rooms immaculate, service from staff friendly and very efficient and the food devine. And it's dog friendly. Having worked continuously throughout lockdown we both required a little rest and recuperation which this hotel certainly delivers. Plenty to do in the immediate surrounding area with plenty of walks suitable for most abilities. We will certainly visit this hotel again.
Over the Summer, when lockdown restrictions were eased, we hired the lion’s share of the rooms at East Haugh House Hotel to celebrate a family occasion, after many months of being apart. With elderly parents that we had spent months protecting, it was a big decision as to whether we should celebrate in a ‘public’ environment, but the team at East Haugh House Hotel were exceptional in their understanding, planning and organisation of our event. The hotel is a family owned business and the personal service we received throughout our stay was fantastic. We felt truly welcome from start to finish. With 12 beautifully decorated and equipped bedrooms plus a self catering cottage, exceptional food, a bar that we pretty much had the sole use of, plus a weekend of glorious summer sunshine, the children were able to play in the gardens allowing the adults to relax and focus on celebrating with loved ones. Our 4 family dogs were also able to join in the festivities which helped make the weekend hassle free. If anyone is looking for a staycation in Perthshire, I would highly recommend East Haugh House Hotel & Restaurant. A fantastic family owned hotel in beautiful surroundings….you couldn’t ask for more.…
