My husband and I recently stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. And what a fantastic time we had. The hotel is located close to the beach with spectacular views of Arran. Our room was spacious and clean. Although we didn't have dinner in the hotel the breakfast was fantastic and other guests were raving about their meals. The bar...

Great location near the seafront but, if the reviews below are representative, not all rooms are equal. We were given the Churchill suite (don't know why, maybe because we asked for a king-sized bed) and it was plagued with extraneous noises. On the roof outside were nine outlets from fans or other machinery, one of which gave out the sound...

I normally stay at another hotel in Troon when I'm doing a sales trip down to this part of the country. But with the tourist season under way, I was priced out of the market. Next closest for me was Fairfield House, wish I'd found this hotel six months ago! The food was outstanding. Had Quail and Brill for Finn....

What a fantastic time we had here in this gorgeous hotel. We stayed from the Friday to the Sunday and had a fabulous weekend. We stayed in the "The Huskies" suite which was stunning. A massive room with a super super king size bed - so comfortable. The bathroom was massive with both a freestanding bath and shower enclosure. The...

I stayed at Fairfield House this weekend as part of party of golfers visiting some of the great Ayrshire courses. The staff gave us a very warm welcome and this was maintained throughout our visit. The breakfast service and late night bar staff could not have been more cheerful and helpful. We also had a very good dinner in the...

I don't like giving an average rating as it smacks of sitting on the fence. However the accomodation was average, rooms were dated and the hotel in general could do with a refurb. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the resuataurant one night and that I have to say was very good.

we stayed here for two nights in May. Our first room was very dull and when I asked for another room there was no problem in changing the room for us. The second room was much better, but still a bit tired. However spotlessly clean. Restaurant choice looking a bit boring, but when the meal came it was excellent. Staff...

Hotel location near Ayr seafront is excellent. Main reception and bar area were lovely and our room was okay, great to have free wifi. Room itself was nothing special but had everything we needed for a one night stay - if staying longer I would have preferred a suite I think. We ate lunch and breakfast here and the food...

Great character hotel. Staff extremely friendly and spacious rooms. Wifi was sketchy on our visit. In our room it didnt work at all. Gym open at seven - bit late if you are working but fine for the holidayers. Plenty of parking out the front, nice restaraunt and bar. Breakfast staff extremely friendly and keen to help. Excellent selection of...

We were regular visitors to this hotel and stayed for 3 nights in April 2014, in 2 rooms. When we checked out we booked again for 3 nights in April 2015 and requested the same rooms, Sovereign and 14. We were told they were available and had been booked for us. We stayed at the Fairfield again in September 2014,...
