Wandered into the A&G for the first time in about 30 years. The lounge bar has been refurbished in the last couple of years and with the fire in the corner, was cozy and the perfect place to get in out of the cold. There is a range of choice menu wise but we found the two courses for £9.95...

Chosen for ,location a short 3 min walk to station as leaving early in morning. Staff were very pleasant, bar was quiet but weather not good. Food menu was good and not too pricy. Room was larger than expected. Did not have breakfast as did not start until 08:00 and I left rather earlier. Would return without hesitation.

Stayed for two days in November. Hotel was pleasant enough but heating was not sufficient to heat room, so hence a bit on the chilly side. Disappointing having to go next door for breakfast, but once again good quality and good service at a reasonable price. Bar was fairly quite when I was in so did not encounter any problems...

This is a guest house upstairs, with a separate restaurant and bar downstairs. They are unrelated and a guest isn't allowed to charge anything to the room, and the breakfast is not included in the hotel price. The bar is basically a local pub, not really for the "hotel" guests but for the local drunks who get very rowdy and...

We stopped into Ayr for a couple of hours before our boat and found this lovely hotel. We had a brilliant meal in the bistro and very good value. The waitress Yvonne was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Definitely worth a visit.

Have been here a couple of times - their Winter Warmer Menu is excellent value for money. The irony of it all is that The Meridian Diner next door - they share the same Kitchen!! We discovered this by chance as I ha d remarked the the Meridian was a lot dearer for some of the same items!

Conveniently located on Burns Statue Square in the centre of town, the railway station is 2 minutes walk away and several bus routes are within a minutes walk. I stayed two nights in one of their good value en-suite single rooms and slept well in the comfortable bed. The room was a little dated with lots of plywood, and the...
