We enjoyed our stay at Jim's Farm because we got on well with the other guests. It's in a beautiful location although we didn't see it at its best during our stay (end of February) because of disappointing weather including a spectacular thunderstorm. The bedroom was nice but rather dark. Few hotels provide decent reading lights and Jim's Farm was...

Jims Farm Villas was one of the highlights of our stay in Sri Lanka. There are three villas. Hilltop, Spice and Mango. We stayed in Hilltop Villa which is the one with the beautiful pool. In fact we were the only guests staying there so it was very quiet. Meals are taken in Mango Villa and there is always someone...

Loved the big room and bathroom, but the view from the Mango villa balcony over the valley and hills beyond was to die for. The way the towels are presented is unique, joyful and memorable. Communal dining was a bit of a surprise, but pleasantly enjoyable (as was the food) and Kevin was an excellent host. Where he really came...

Stayed 4 nights in one of the Mango rooms and really loved this place. Set in lush grounds with Farm Tuk Tuk to shuttle you around the grounds.Everything was immaculate and clean and the staff so friendly. Amazing views from our room, very relaxing setting, we enjoyed meeting the other like minded guests for drinks and dinner. The Villas are...

This is a fantastic place and really great way to start exploring the wonders of Sri Lanka. As well as having stunningly beautiful views, it is in a good location to visit the cultural triangle and we took trips from here with their excellent driver (Neehal) to Dambulla, Sigiriya, Kandy, Polonnaruwa and Kaudulla National Park as well as taking advantage...

We stayed here for 4 nights and found everything about this hotel was excellent. Friendly, clean. Food good. We did the cooking class, farm tour and had some treatment in the spa. All were great. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. We walked into the local village and everyone was extremely friendly.

We stayed at Jim's Farm for two nights. This offered us our first ever chance to hand-milk a cow, a sighting of a rat-snake, and to see lots of spices and local delicacies growing (e.g. jack-fruit). Our hosts, Kevin and Janet, were so welcoming and friendly, we felt at home immediately. The manager, Jesse, was also really helpful and lovely....

This is a nice boutique hotel which of course will cost a lot more than other star level hotels but worth to spend some time there. Hotel is built across approximately 60 acres of land and you can walk and see what is there. They grow all spices and is a farm that has chicken, cow... stc so that you...

Jacob, Many thanks for your kind comments: we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. As you say, we are somewhat "off the beaten track", but we do offer a central location for visiting all the Cultural Triangle sites and the opportunity to experience Sri Lankan village life. We certainly hope that the resurfacing of the Madawala Ulpotha...

We really enjoyed out two night stay at this wonderful hotel, with its characterful and spacious rooms, including an excellent bathrom/wetroom. The rooms are organised in groups of about 8, with long verandas on one side and individual balconies on the other, both with amazing views of the farm and surrounding district. You eat with others staying in your complex...

The rooms at Jims farm villas are really nice, they are modern and spacious and in the mango villa the views were exceptional. The food was lovely and we enjoyed eating with the other guests and sharing stories. The tour around the farm was really interesting and literally every tree or plant there has a purpose. It is child friendly,...
