Easy check in by friendly woman at reception, room was clean and comfortable and the service in the restaurant was good. The hotel does have a motel feel to it and the decor could possibly...

Lovely hotel, room was spottless and the shower was roasting! There was a singer on in the bar area and he was great, there was a lot of foot tapping going on and staff moved empty tables to create a small dance floor and a good night was had by all. Breakfast was faultless, everything was piping hot including the...

Spent 2 nights in March at this hotel & can't wait to go back for longer. From the minute you walk into the freshly decorated reception to a friendly welcome ,the whole hotel is spotless & welcoming. The reception areas are spacious with a large dining room or the tartan tearoom for breakfast & dinner. The meals were excellent with...

Service was very good although the whole building requires updating but the location was in a beautiful area of Scotland. The food was good and plenty of it both at breakfast and dinner. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Part of the car park at the back of property flooded due to heaven rain.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Rob Roy Hotel is situated at the gateway to the Trossachs in beautiful countryside where one of Scotland's most famous rogue's "Rob Roy McGregor" once roamed. The Hotel is an ideal centre for touring the Trossachs, Perthshire and the Highlands. The little picturesque village of Aberfoyle is just 1 mile from the Hotel and is host to three visitor centres, The Scottish Wool Centre, The David Marshall Lodge and the Scottish Tourist Board's very own Discovery Centre. The historic city of Stirling is only 18 miles away, and here you can find our sister hotel The King Robert, situated next door to The Bannockburn Centre, on the site of the famous battle. ... more   less
