After paying a small amount for a single room, I was rewarded with a double room/bed which was spacious and the bathroom was roomy and spotlessly clean. Quirky layout to the hotel but warm, clean and very welcoming. The evening meal was very enjoyable with a good selection of dishes... More

The Roy Roy Hotel is an excellent place for a cheap, fun weekend. We stayed Friday to Sunday, Saturday night was Tribute Night, great entertainment and great fun. Food was excellent and the service was good, even Mr Grumpy at the bar seemed to warm up a bit as the evening went on. Although I do have every sympathy as... More

Just returned from a 4 night DBB stay. This hotel is very basic but you only get what you pay for. This hotel is located in a very quiet, peaceful location and is absolutely perfect for touring the Highlands, West Coast, Central Scotland . The surrounding scenery is absolutely breathtaking as it is set in the heart of surrounding lochs, hills,... More

A warm and cosy hotel, had no reservation but rooms were available, the room was comfortable, had all necessary amenities and was spacious. The food was delicious and the bar staff were attentive. Great value, situated in a scenic location and will definitely visit again.

We stayed 4 nights on out Baker Dolphin coach trip. All the meals were lovely, fresh, good portions good choices and well presented. The staff were polite and our room was comfortable and spacious. We can't find any fault with this hotel, but some of the elderly guests did complain they had a bit of a walk to the restaurant,... More

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The bed mattress had to be replaced as the springs were coming through it. The one it was replaced with was only marginally better. The carpets were filthy with big stains. The hotel said they had tried to get them out. In parts on the steps by reception the carpet... More

We have just had our second overnight stay here and we will definitely be back for more. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. The food is delicious the only small point we would say is that my husband would have preferred mash with his lamb casserole rather than the scallop potatoes it came with and I would have liked salad... The Rob Roy Hotel is situated at the gateway to the Trossachs in beautiful countryside where one of Scotland's most famous rogue's "Rob Roy McGregor" once roamed. The Hotel is an ideal centre for touring the Trossachs, Perthshire and the Highlands.
