I stayed here for five days as part of a coach tour. The room was spacious with a magnificent view overlooking the countryside and mountain and there was ample storage room as well. There were nice little touches as well such as biscuits in the room on night one and liquid soap in both the shower and by the sink.... More

Booked this as a surprise anniversary holiday. NIce clean comfortable King size bed. Nice large room. Friendly staff and courteous. Could not fault the food. Ideal for exploring Trossachs and Loch Lomond. Great value for money and bar prices reasonable. Would return!!

This hotel is a little bit run down but offers a lovely stay for a little price, the food is lovely. We have stayed here a few occasions for the party nights and cabaret evenings. We normally take an extra night too normally the fri and sat, and if busy on the fri night they also put on entertainment. The... More

I visited the Rob Roy with a group of friends for a stag do. It's not far at all from Aberfoyle town centre where there are a small number of shops, restaurants and pubs - not to forget a wool museum! Continue through Aberfoyle and up the hill is also Go Ape, a treetop adventure course that is without question... More

My husband stayed overnight at the Rob Roy Hotel, Lochard Rd, Stirling, Aberfoyle, Scotland, between fishing dates. It is named after the legendary local folk hero Rob Roy McGregor and is situated within Scotland’s first national park. The Rob Roy Hotel is wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs. The Rob Roy Hotel is only... More

Didn't stay at this hotel but popped in one night when staying nearby. We had already tried another place for dinner but it was very busy so ends up dropping in here instead. We were just after a bit of pub grub but the barman wasn't sure if they were still serving bar meals as they had a party of... More

Relatives were staying here for a midweek break so we decided to go for an overnight stay. The Rob Roy sits on its own about a mile from Aberfoyle, it is an ideal base for outdoor pursuits such as walking, fishing and touring. The rooms are not outstanding but comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and polite. Buffet... More
