My wife and I have just returned from a 3 day mid week stay in Ennis . We stayed at the Old Ground , as when we last stayed there we were very happy with the hotel. This time round it was ( Room 208 ) no different. From check in with Lorraine and Marie to Dinner, with Elayne (...

Stayed for 1 night during March 2017. Hotel situated in centre of Ennis itself. Room was adequate and the bed very comfortable. Staff here were very friendly. Pub within the hotel was good, very lively on the Sunday with traditional Irish music in the evening. Breakfasts were cooked to order which were lovely.

An amazing stay for our first wedding anniversary. A lovely touch of a fruit bowl and note from the hotel wishing us a great celebration. The hotel is finished to a high standard and feels very luxurious. It was a great base for exploring the west of Ireland. A special mention must go to Stella. Her wonderful personality is a...

On 12th March I stayed at Old Ground Hotel Ennis and found that the staff were exceptional friendly on checking in for one night. The hotel is very popular if we are to go on the great number of clientele in all parts of the reception area and restaurant. The bedroom number 413 was very nice and roomy. Beds were...

Stayed here for a weekend break with some friends. It's a wonderful 'olde worlde' hotel with real fire in the lobby, lots of seating space ( inside & out) & wonderful high ceilings- lovely garden. I had booked two twin rooms quite a while previously - I had spoken to staff prior to arrival a few times, however it took...

Dear Guest from Cork, We are having a serious meeting with our team to analyse how these exceptions to our usual excellent service occurred. Our sincere apologies, I assure you this matter will be given careful attention. It is our standard procedure in both the bar and our two restaurants that service is efficient, friendly and professional. Our kitchen prides...

I stayed here a few years ago for a week and was so impressed, it was a week to remember. The best choice I made was returning, I not sure if I prefer the food in the Bar or the restaurant both are excellent, the rooms are very comfortable and warm, there is a nice atmosphere to the hotel, enjoyed...

We had the most wonderful time last weekend. The hotel has character, wonderful staff, location and fabulous food. We travel each year for a weekend to this hotel and Anne in the Dining Room greeted us so warmly. I am now not as robust as in the past and the staff in the Dining Room could not have been more...

Friendly, brisk paced pub. Prepare to wait or hunt for a lunch table since this spot Is very popular with locals. Recommend the outstanding fish and chips, daily homemade soups, and the exceptional pot of tea for two. Service is efficient and super friendly. You won't be disappointed!
