After several stops around Ireland using Bed and Breakfasts, we decided to splurge on the Old Ground for our stop in Ennis. We were in a newer portion of the historic hotel, in a very comfortable room overlooking the parking area. You can easily walk to any part of the town from the Old Ground. Since we were there during...

Loved the charm of the rooms the furniture fit perfectly, antiques and lovely old paintings. Easy to walk to town and nearby attractions and local pubs. I would recommend enjoying the pub at the hotel, had a great time and enjoyed the music

Room was good sized. Ate dinner in the main restaurant - had their prix fixe menu which was good and way too much food. The only drawback was a wedding held there that night with late night celebrations going on outside. The town is not on the usual tourist stops, but has much to offer. Good historical museum, a saturday...

The Old Ground is a fine hotel in an ideal location in Ennis. The breakfast is innovative and surprisingly different from the traditional full Irish breakfasts served everywhere. We enjoyed dinner in the Pub and stayed for traditional Irish music in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our room was spacious and lovely.

We were given two wonderful suites in this old hotel situated in the middle of charming Ennis. Clare is extraordinarily beautiful and Ennis is at the crossroads of it all. The rooms and the service were exceptional and The Poet's Corner bar was a welcoming setting for traditional music and story telling.

The food was fantastic. Attached to the hotel is a great pub with Irish music entertainment and the pub food comes from the hotel kitchen where the...

Charming building, in the town centre. Friendly, professional staff. Fabulous rooms, spotlessly clean. Excellent restaurant. Great bar, with the best pint of Guinness I've ever tasted. The Old Ground is one of the best hotels in Ireland.

I have just spent a few days in The Old Ground Hotel in Ennis in the lovely county of Clare. The room was very comfortable with a view of the cathedral. It is very central, right in the centre of town. We dined in The Town Hall restaurant which is part of the hotel, there was also a choice of two...
