In August 2017 we enjoyed a lovely two night stay in Ennis. The Temple Gate hotel was comfortable, had a very nice bar and good food. Downtown Ennis was alive just outside our hotel door. Our room was large and roomy, and despite the active Ennis night life outside, we heard nothing.

The room was very nice and clean. The staff was MOST helpful. The price wasnt bad, and the location was FANTASTIC. One block from good restaurants, pubs, and a bakery with GREAT croissants. Plenty of on site parking.

The former monastery and church was converted into a hotel in the early 90's. The hotel marries the original architecture of the former church's lofty ceilings and stained glass windows with updated contemporary décor. . We stayed in room 502. It a huge room perfect for a family with small children. There were three beds, a double and two singles....

Stayed overnight with a tour group. Hotel had rooms ready early in the afternoon for our arrival. Rooms were very comfortable and a bit sparse. It is located right next to the main road (O'Connell Street) with plenty of shops and restaurants. The breakfast was very nice as well with some diverse options. Several in our group had difficulty (myself...

The bar good was excellent and competitively priced. I would stsy there again without hesitation. Some rooms are a bit tired but all were clean....

Lovely central hotel in Ennis with good parking, great food and comfortable accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor was great and the food in the pub is highly recommended. Only downside was the Wifi connection wasn't as strong or as stable as it might be - not terrible, just not as consistent as other places I've stayed. Would...

Very friendly helpful staff. I wish I had gotten the name of the lovely gal at the desk because she gets five stars herself. She went above and beyond to help us with all of our questions and got us on a great tour to the cliffs. The room was cozy and and clean and the Preachers Pub is awesome!...

This is a very good option for stay in Ennis. Central location. Ample parking. On prior visits to Ennis had stayed at Old Ground which was full.Rooms here are large and comfortable. More modern.Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. First time staying there. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The hotel seems to be in a good location but most places around it closed around 6pm. We were on a tour so after the day was finished we wanted to enjoy a walk around but nothing really to do. Not sure if this is because of the season or not. Food was great and enjoyed the hotel bar. Friendly...

We had 55 people - a mix of adults of all ages and a bunch of children for a family get together in the Temple Gate Hotel in April 2017. About half of the visitors also took a room in the hotel. Comments as follows: Catering for a diverse part of this size was made significantly easier because both Louise...
