We arrived mid afternoon and was greeted by the owner who lived next door and ran the B&B. To took us in for a cup of tea and told us everything we needed to know about where to visit, what to see and what to look out for. He was so interesting and caring. His wife then returned from shopping... More

Our stay at Lis Ardagh lodge was wonderful. The hosts Jim and Carol are just beautiful people. So welcoming and friendly could not do enough for you. The house is so homely and the rooms are large, spacious and clean. The attention to detail is clearly seen throughout. The town of Union Hall is only a short walk away and... More

Lovely place, very friendly hosts, glorious breakfast and JIm's accent, too! It doesn't get much better than this. The village is also a little gem and just down the hill so you can even walk down and enjoy a few pints without taking the car. Thank you!

Lid-Ardagh Lodge is a very well run B&B. Carol and Jim were very friendly. The place was very clean and more room than we needed. The room we had could sleep 5 people. Surrounding was beautiful. All in all a very positive experience. Definitely recommend.

After a slight mix up, we were warmly welcomed into the house in a beautiful area only a few minutes walk from the village. The room we were in was spotless and very spacious, the bed was really comfortable and there was no shortage of hot water from the sink and shower. The lady of the house even offered to... More

This is the first trip advisor review I've written and what pushed me into writing it is the warmth of the welcome and the quality of the stay my wife and I received when we stayed in the Lis-Ardagh lodge with Carol and Jim. Attention the detail and the little things done well is what you will find here.

Carol and Jim, made our stay special. We had a room with a double bed, and a single bed. It was still big enough to have two fireside chairs and a large flatscreen tv. A joining room had another single bed leading to a great bathroom. Union Hall is one of the prettiest places, I have ever visited. Breakfast and... More
