Brenda is amazing. Arriving at her abode was like going home to grandma. She was knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and very warm for our entire stay. This was our first night in the B&B's and she set the bar extremely high. Definitely our favorite stay by far and we would love to take a trip back in a couple of years...

From the moment we were greeted to our departure, our host Breeda made us feel very welcomed. Arriving mid afternoon and wanting to check out Cork City, we were given detailed instructions on sights to see and walking directions. In addition, Breeda provided several suggestions for dinner which proved to be terrific! We ate in an historic pub that paid...

Breeda was charming, welcoming, understanding, sweet...the list could go on! My fianace and I had just gotten engaged and Ferncliff House was our next stop. Breeda welcomed us with a warm hug and a smile! When we told her of our engagement she was moved to tears and said "Thank you for letting me part of your special day!" I...

While traveling in Ireland for 12 days with my family we were very fortunate to have selected the Ferncliff House for our stay in Cork. Breeda and Sean Higgins were absolutely wonderful hosts. We felt like their family the whole time. They were friendly and informative about things to do, places to eat, history of the area, etc. We had...

Breeda is a very welcoming and smiling person although we arrived late at nigth. She has always the anecdote to be told you. Do not miss in particular the placard of the lounge : "if you want breakfast in bed, sleep in the kitchen !" The breakfast was delicious and bedroom was lovely and cute. We recommend this place without...

Stayed one night when stopping in Cork City. Mary Higgins the owner is so friendly, helpful & attentive! A short walk downhill into the city from the b&b which is in a residential area. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious & clean. Mary serves up a nice breakfast & helps you get on your way.

Nothing more to add to all positive reviews. We were enjoying a warm and friendly welcome. The breakfast was tasty and rich and the room very clean. We had a good and quiet sleep. Only one issue for improvement: the wi-fi is not really fast.

We stayed at the Ferncliff House in late June and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Breeda helped us with our travel plans and gave a great recommendation for dinner at the Ambassador just around the corner. The B&B is a 10 minute walk into the downtown area and we...

I have been staying at the Ferncliff House B&B each summer for past 9 years, and continue to return because of Breeda and Shaun, the warm and friendly hosts. I would not think of staying anywhere else in Cork; it is truly like coming home each year. Not only is the B&B warm and cozy (even in early summer, Cork...

Our very first experience staying at a B&B was here and it was awesome. Breeda was very friendly and helpful with many good ideas of what to see & do. Loved her suggestion of Dan Lawreys pub! Our attic room was large, quiet and had a great view of Cork. The breakfast was authentic as well.

“The Family suite on the top floor has been freshly renovated and is great. We weren't allowed to stay there because the pint smell hadn't completely gone. It is large and has great views of the city of Cork”
