I found the Maryborough Hotel had something for everyone. As a wedding venue it was fantastic. The whole experience was wonderful. The staff were, the reception hall, the food, the pool area and especially the thermal spa. The spa was a lifesaver the morning after. The bridal suite was beautiful, a refurbished suite in the old part of the house.

I had planned a special break for my wife's birthday and the Maryborough team helped to ensure that the whole thing was fabulous on that day and indeed for the whole of our 4 night stay. From the treats I order for our room on arrival, to the check in, the room itself, the spa, bar and restaurant - all...

We returned to the hotel where we got married a year ago for dinner and an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and polite and all congratulated us on our anniversary. There was a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolate strawberries for us in our room and our dinner was delicious. A great way to spend our anniversary!

I stayed in the Maryborough this weekend for a wedding and we had an absolute ball. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating throughout. I will definitely be returning. And the spa allowed for great transformation back to life the morning after the night before!!!!!

My husband and I are just back from a two night stay in The Maryborough. We were celebrating our year wedding anniversary and taking a break before our first child arrives next month! I arrived to hotel with my 4 years old son, after 20 hours of journey and room wasn't ready. We decided to go to restaurant and have some food. Food wasn't fresh at all, I ordered kids burger for my son and I have got fish&chips. Burger was very hard to chew; even I tried cut but it wasn't looking...

Picked the one night getaway with 3 course dinner, breakfast and €20 voucher for a spa treatment. We arrived just after 2pm on a very sunny Saturday in late September so it was natural to think the hotel would be busy with a wedding. We checked in very quickly though. As check in was at 3pm our original room was...

We drove down the long way from Killarney where we had a stay in an excellent, similiar rated spa hotel. Thats why we also decided to choose the Maryborough but unfortunately its just disappointing. Instead a deluxe room in an old charming building - what we booked and expected - we got a room in the secluded newbuilt spa-wing. The...

Went on overnight package with dinner included. Amazing food, best I have had in a long time and particularly in a hotel. Wonderfully presented and executed food with top quality ingredients. I had scallops, halibut (both gorgeous with really tasty garnishes), and a creme brulee to die for. My husband had yellow fin tuna starter, steak for mains and treacle...

They certainly market this place well to attract you but I've definitely missed something here in terms of the quality people allege to have been astounded by here. One of the previous reviewers suggested that the breakfast chef 'needs to care more' , and I couldn't agree more. See the attached image of their attempt on eggs Benedict and decide...
