My girlfriend took me to Cork for my birthday as i had wanted to go for a while. Our stay at the Ambassador was fabulous. Staff could not have been more welcoming. Hotel & rooms were very clean and when called down the reception for some drinks they were at our room within in 10 minutes. Our room was beautiful...

A grand, Victorian, ex-hospital (for 'Protestant Incurables' apparently). 15 min walk downhill to the centre of the city. Receptionists were helpful and friendly as were waitresses. We had coffee on the terrace on arrival; the terrace is a sun-trap and warm enough to sit outside even on a November morning (but we were lucky to have good weather). Room (a...

Was at a friends wedding lately and have mixed feelings about the experience. The food was only passable. The length of the service was unbelievably long. Sat down before six and didn't finish till after 9.30. Mains were nice, sides were cold and many were sent back, presumably to be microwaved. Staff worked hard but could not make up for...

Dear Billypix, It is with regret I have read your review on Trip Advisor. My regret is based on the fact that you did not enjoy your time at the wedding and secondly that I do not believe it is a true and fair reflection of any of the weddings we had in October. Firstly there was no wedding in...

On the October bank holiday weekend we had the pleasure of attending our sons wedding in the ambassador hotel, a very large number of family relatives & friends from Canada U.K. And Tipperary stayed with us over 2 nights and we just can't praise the hotel enough. The food was absolutely beautiful, rooms were immaculate, the staff in the restaurant...

We recently got married in the Ambassador and there are not enough characters in this post to write the rewiew it deserves. Everybody will always look back on thier wedding fondly but I can honestly say the staff at the Ambassador helped make the weekend the best we have ever had. From the moment we arrived to the time we...

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband and 2 teenage daughters. Beautiful spacious rooms overlooking cork city. We only ate breakfast here which didn't entice us to try dinner. Messy, unkept looking waiting staff who looked like they just rolled out of bed in creased shirts and aprons and dirty jeans along with dirty bowls on the breakfast buffet didnt...

Desk clerks were very helpful. Very nice room with high windows and a beautiful view of Cork from Military Hill. It was a perfect walking distance to the center of town. Parking was excellent. We ate dinner in the dining room. Very nice.

Dear James C, It is with a bit of confusion and I must admit to being slightly perplexed as to the content of your review posted. The hotel is not under renovation and hasn’t been since May of 2015 outside of general housekeeping with carpets & a small bit of touch up painting. I will endeavour to answer all your...
