We spent one night at Garnish House and were very pleased with our choice. This is a Bed & Breakfast and we got exactly what we paid for: a soft, comfy bed with good blankets and an excellent breakfast. Their breakfast was delicios, everything we tasted was of a great quality. We especially loved the bread and the scones, but...

We were very skeptical about using bed and breakfasts any where but saw so many great reviews on tripadvisor and even in Fodor's, so we decided to try the garnish house. We did not book our room ahead of time, but just walked in. We were greeted by a friendly man who informed us that yes they did have rooms...

We are a family of four, and our room was spacious for the price. We stayed in front of the street in the room upstairs. The bed weren't comfortable but we knew this, it is not going to be the five star hotel. If you don't mind walking to the center, which walking is our favorite thing to do when...

I am clueless why The Garnish House appears as a favorite in the guide books, from Lonely Planet to Rick Steves. I think they made an impression on the reviewers through their stomachs because no doubt about it, the 10 euro breakfast is fantastic: along with the beautifully displayed fruit, yogurt, scones, there is a porridge starter before you order...

I don't understand the complaints I am seeing (from fellow Americans) re: small rooms, no AC, etc. People, this is a B &B in Cork, not a Hilton suite. We absolutely loved our all-too-brief stay there. Our room was small but I expected it to be. It was en suite, but you must remember that a lot of these rooms...

After reading all the positive feedback about Garnish House here, I was so excited to get there and enjoy Cork. And what a disappointment! Our room was in the Annex - which is about 100m further from the main building. Globally, the building was interesting as it has its own parking, living room and kitchen that we could use. However...

We stayed here for 1 night in July. I'd mainly chosen it on the basis of the breakfast, and it didn't disappoint! The first time I saw the menu, I thought it was for lunch, there were so many choices on it... full irish, pancakes, scones, bread, fruit buffet, cakes, eggs, fish... I didn't need to eat again until dinner!...

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. Plenty of car parking space, which is important as there is nothing else nearby. Good location, 15 mins walk to the heart of town. Welcome tea/scones etc is a nice touch. Our room was in a seperate building next door, but was to the same standard as the rest. Only gripe was...

I am very surprised by all of the rave reviews. I wish we had stayed somewhere else. The rooms have no A/C (didn't realize when booking this). The only cooling mechanism in our room was one window that looks into a courtyard. It's summer and it's very wet/rainy and humid, so the room was warm and very stuffy--it smells of...

I stayed here with a group of friends in June; we were spoiled by their breakfast as it was by far the best of our two weeks in Ireland. They give you way too many delicious options. We stayed here the first three nights of our trip and enjoyed it very much. We were in a separate building one block...
