This was some time ago now but thats how good this place was. The best part was the staff. So friendly, helpful and kind. It's well situated on the side of a hill overlooking Cork and the main rail station. It's not far from the station but it is up a hill but we managed just fine. The breakfast was... More

Along with offering excellent accommodation, service and food, the staff at the guest house honored a previous booking that we were unable to make. This was far above what they had to do, but made our visit to Cork all the more enjoyable. If you are going to stay in Cork, then this is the place to go. A short... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and were made to feel very welcome from the start. The breakfast was great, hot and plentiful, really set us up for the day. The trip into town was quite a hike down the steep hill but we found out there is a bus which runs every 15 minutes and this will take you... More

The B&B was clean, room was spacious & staff was friendly. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip. Things worth noting: hotel is down a steep hill, so probably not ideal for older folks. Also, the walk to downtown wasn't far, but the streets were fairly empty and poorly lit - best to walk with a buddy... More

We really enjoyed the comfy bed, pretty room, peaceful setting, central location, lovely receptionist, phenomenal breakfast... Full of character with the old building and the animals out back. Recommended!

We have chosen Gabriel Guesthouse due to good reviews. And were not disappointed. The guesthouse is located in a villa on a hill, just 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre. Unfortunately there was no elevator, but for our group it was not a problem. A wide selection of breakfast, both buffet and hot breakfast will great “Full Irish”. Very... More

For me, the best two things about Gabriel House were the reasonable price and the excellent choice of breakfast (including the beautiful free range eggs from the Guest House's own brood of chickens!). The bedrooms were adequate - but for a group of people who only stayed at the hotel to sleep, room comfort was not a great issue. There... More

Lovely old building with lots of character. Nice room with everything you need for your trip away from home. Lovely staff were cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and filling. Would stay here again.

This lovely b&b was a great find after reading reviews on trip advisor. Our room was on the top floor which was a bit of a hike as there is no elevator but we survived. The room was comfortable with 2 little roof windows which had black out blinds (excellent). The bathroom was clean and so was the room. Breakfast... More

this guesthouse was in a good location up a hill not far from Cork City and Railway which is good, the only problem would be the walk back up the hill so we got a taxi as we had young kids, so not good for older people either, also we were in the family room which is also on the 4th... More
