Booked 2 rooms for our family holiday and stayed in the house nearby to the main guesthouse. There was a shared lounge and kitchen area with access to the gorgeous garden. Both rooms were set up as fully equipped hotel rooms complete with ensuites and all amenities. Warm and very comfortable. Avril and Tony are very friendly and professional- brimming...

Stayed here last week with another couple. We were made so welcome, breakfast is delicious and cooked to order. Spotlessly clean and everything that you should need is available. Tony and Avril really are the most special of hosts, so down to earth, friendly and with a great Irish sense of humour. It made our stay in Cork, which is...

What a lovely B&B! Avril and Tony were great! Scones were made fresh in the morning and tasty. Room was clean and trendy. We had off street parking and great suggestions on what to do in Cork. Near University which is great to stroll through and see the original stone Irish Alphabet.

I visited Cork with a friend and stayed in a twin room. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Tony who gave us a map, lots of information about things to do and pubs and restaurants in Cork. The b&b is a minute walk to Cork University, which is worth a visit; short and pleasant walk into Cork and St Patrick's...

Fernroyd House is the place to stay during a visit to Cork. The location is absolutely perfect. It is right next door to the University of Cork and it's beautiful campus and a short walk to all of the things you would want to do or see during the day in Cork. It is also a great place to stay...

Fernroyd House lives up to its reputation. We stayed for 3 nights for our visit to Cork. Only a short taxi ride from the train station (10 euros). On a quiet road right beside the university. Just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. We were warmly welcomed by Avril and Chip (Molly needed to warm up to us). My...

We stayed here at the end of April and this was our first experience at a B&B. Tony and Avril made it a fantastic one. In fact, we were late coming in on the first night because we got lost and Tony was very gracious about what I'm sure was an inconvenience. Tony's advice and knowledge about the area attractions...

Tony was so willing to give me information on Cork and Cobh and West Cork that I hated to tell him that I was just staying in Cork one night and then off to Kerry. He was visibly deflated and almost seemed to take it personally. I am very grateful for his abundant knowledge and enthusiasm for his City and...

My fiance and I stayed at the Fernroyd house for 3 nights in April. Our stay at the Fernroyd House couldn't have been better! Tony and Avril are the sweetest and most considerate hosts I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. When we first arrived flustered after a long drive from Dublin, Tony greeted us with coffee and fresh scones....

We spent 2 nights here in later March with our 11 yo son. He was very enamored of the dogs & the cats that live in the backyard. Room was great, breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were wonderful! We walked around the college campus as well as into Cork to visit the English Market, and to have dinner at...
