This was my first time at a B&B and wow did Tony and Avril set the bar high. We were greeted at the door by Tony and he took our bags and showed us our room. He gave us wonderful dinner recommendations at a bar/pub we wanted called Broadway (loved the food). The rooms were emmaculate. Clean, with a mini...

I booked Fernroyd House for my mother in law, my wife and her two friends. There is always a sense of trepidation booking for others but on arrival those fears were immediately put to bed. Tony and Avril could not have been more welcoming and friendly. I am Irish and currently living in Brasil and admit our idea of service...

My friend and I spent two days in cork at the Fernroyd House. Tony and Avril were sweet and accomodating. The room was beautiful and clean. They helped us plan out our visit and make the best of our short visit. Everything is walking distance to the center of the city. They were able to recommend great places to eat...

I learned about this B&B from TripAdvisor and, based on the positive reviews, just had to give it a try when I was in Cork City. I stayed at The Fernroyd House from April 2 to April 6 and I was not disappointed. I had a fantastic stay. The Fernroyd House is just off Western Road, a few paces from...

My husband and I spent two nights here and simply loved it. The hospitality was overwhelming impressive. We were lost on our way in to cork and Toni patiently talked to us on our cell the entire way there. We were instantly greeted with hot tea and homemade cake. It truly felt like coming home! Rooms were spotless. They included...

I recently stayed three nights at the Fernroyd House while participating in an event at the university next door. The best part of the experience was the very friendly and always helpful owners, Tony and Avril. Thank you for a great time. I hope to come back to Ireland soon and will definitely book here again.

I flew in to Cork and had booked Fernroyd House primarily based on reading earlier Tripadvisor reviews. After reaching Fernroyd House I was greeted warmly by Tony (the owner with his wife Avril) and shown up to my room. The room was great as was the shower/bathroom, and as I found out then next morning - so is the breakfast....

We hadn't been to Cork before and to be fair we knew absolutely nothing about it before we arrived - majorly unprepared! This changed within a couple of minutes of meeting Tony and Avril. Over freshly made scones (amazing) and tea Tony sat us down when we arrived and gave us a rundown of his suggestions of things to do...
