We stayed in Donegal Town as part of our two week tour of Ireland. I had booked this B&B many months in advance after reading reviews on TA, I always book in the centre of town but was enticed by the photos of the water views. We were not disappointed the views of the bay are even better in real... More

My daughter and I stayed at The Waters Edge while touring Ireland in September and just picking up accommodation as we traveled. This B&B was an unexpected gem within walking distance of Donegal Town. Marie was a delightful hostess who suggested The Reel Inn for traditional, live, Irish Music and this recommendation was a bonus on our travels - we... More

Good B&B in this large home on the water. A walk along the water's edge takes you to the center of town...nice clean room, good breakfast and comfortable bed. Very accommodating owner. Our room had a nice view of the water.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Waters Edge while bicycling in County Donegal. The accommodations were lovely and the waterside setting is spectacular. Marie was a lovely and charming hostess and her recommendation for dinner was excellent. Her full Irish breakfast is not for the faint of heart--it's quite generous and excellent. After eating you might want to... More

My partner and I stayed at the Water's Edge for 4 nights in August over the weekend of the food festival. We could not have wished for a better b&b. The location was stunning, the house beautifully decorated. Our bedroom with en suite was lovely and a good size, with a very comfortable bed and stunning views of Donegal Bay... More

What a beautiful spot !! Lovely room and what a great night sleep. Warm welcome and just a short walk to the most lovely pub, The Reel Inn, where we experienced the local music and dancing. If we hadn't been riding the next morning, we would have stayed all night ! Breakfast was my first full Irish breakfast and I... More

Location is really exceptional: you are actually at the edge of the water! You have the ocean in front of you when tide is up ; when it is down, you can go walking along the shore and this way, you are at 5 mn walking from down town (otherwise, you need also 5 mn but by car!). Excellent B&B:... More

The great view of this B&B made us choose it, but we didn't realize when driving in that we could also take a short cut walk in to town around the shore at low tide, coming home around the road after dinner when the tide had come up. Beautiful house, lovely hostess, good breakfast (we chose fruit plate for a... More

This must surely be one of the prettiest views in one of the prettiest towns in Ireland. It must also be one of the friendliest B&Bs in one of the world's friendliest countries! My partner and I stayed two nights in musically-inclined Donegal Town at the aptly named Water's Edge B&B. The view from our comfortable bedroom across the lake... More
