We were staying in The Central hotel and popped into The Abbey for a few drinks. Served by Andrew who was very friendly. He went out of his way to explain local areas as tourists we should visit. We did not dine on this occasion but I like The Abbey. The bar area is very nice for having a drink.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 26 September 2016

Stayed at this very friendly hotel for four nights this month, with a coach tour with GB Tours. I was impressed with this hotel from the start, we arrived fairly late at this hotel at 10.00 pm, and a very good dinner was awaiting us, and was well served. I have been to many hotels arriving late for dinner and...

Great friendly service at check in. Good warm room, quiet location. Good breakfast served on time and hot. Parking was easy, free and close to the hotel. Bar service was good and the pint was great. Lift not working but not an issue for me.

this hotel is located in the heart of the city, with the town square directly in front. it's a terrific base for the area, with a bus stop directly in front, taxis opposite, and an aldis within walking distance. the style of the hotel is old world and the rooms are very nice. only one power point, and no facility...

I'm unsure if it was the charm of the Hotel, the beauty of Donegal or the wonderful company I was in but our New Years Stay in the Abbey Hotel was second to none. The hotel itself is gorgeous, very rarely have I seen so many guests happy to sit and chat to each other in the hotel lobby and...

There on a National trip for 4 days. Great hotel, good food, very clean spacious room and good sized bathroom. Staff were very friendly and location is central. Only downside of our visit was the location of room . It was on the first floor right over the bus stop so was very noisy even through the night. I think...
