Stayed in a double room with my boyfriend for three nights. Personally, I loved it. Was so homely that I would almost consider moving in if the room was larger! I didn't mind sharing a toilet and shower. One thing missing was perhaps a communal kitchen. Also the fuse for the light kept going which was a little bit of...

This was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The mattress was just metal springs, the bathroom was disgusting and everything was broken and run down. We asked for our money back (80€ per night!) and were refused. We threatened to call the police and point out that it was almost fraudulent to charge money for those rooms and...

I've never stayed in a hostal before and needless to say I won't be staying in one again. It was quite expensive for what it was, the location is the only saving grace. I stayed on the top floor where getting wifi connection is near impossible and intermittent one bar at most. I didn't like the idea of paying first...

Be aware this is not a modern luxury hotel, and you should be happy with what you get. Sure, it is a little run down and shabby.. but it is clean, safe and well run. It is the management and staff that is perhaps it's strongest point.. there is care and dedication here that shows and makes this a decent...

I have been here on numerous occasions and if you are expecting luxury then you're deluded. Its unbelievably simple but when you're in Dublin you wont be spending alot of time in your room. Its in a great location and its worth what you are paying.

Good things first: The location is great, just down the street from Busaras and Connolly Station, and the city centre is within a brief walking distance. The booking confirmation comes with an excellent description on how to get to the place, and the wifi in the hostel was free and worked really well. However, I was charged 90 Euro per...

TL;DR - Good location with nice service, but the room wasn't up to par even for budget standards. I didn't have much time to prepare my 4-day trip so I chose The Holyhead based on their location, decent looking website photos and price. The Holyhead has a great location on the corner of Talbot and Gardner, just a 10-15min walk...

This is a simple and workable hostel in a great tourist location, but it is priced like a hotel, or at least it was when we were there (which to be fair was in July during the peak of tourist season). The beds were comfortable enough but the shared showers were a bit cramped and had very little water pressure....

My husband and I stayed three nights here. The white linens, white towels, and beds in our triplet room (room #5: one twin-size bed and two bunked beds) were extremely clean. We saw no scary insects during our stay (no bedbugs, roaches, etc.), and I don't count the few flies that entered/exited through the screenless hallway windows. The beds were...

Massive 4-post bed took up so much of the room it was very difficult to get around (and I'm pretty small). Shower water got warm enough but had very little pressure- would not advise trying to wash long hair. Location was great though. *some sites have suggested that there are laundry services available... Not accurate.
