Stayed here this week on business. Was about a 15min taxi ride from the airport. Checked in pretty late and ate a nice pad thai from the bar. Room was big, with a comfy bed and good shower, very clean. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and yummy. Utilised the meeting rooms which were good and provided good service. I would like...

As described on hotel and Choice hotel Web site, about as good as you will find. Beds are a bit uncomfortable but rooms are spacious. CAUTION: Trip Advisor Web site lists self service laundry which is not present, but a dry cleaner 2 tram stops away.

Second stay here. Really good and excellent value for money - staff friendly and location to town good - not too close not to far. Trams outside. Room was comfort and fine, lunch was excellent and we ran a meeting in excellent meeting facilities. Bar area good to relax and do some work. I would definitely stay again.

Located in docklands area of Dublin. Tram stop right outside the hotel so easy to get around city. Hotel has a relaxed airy feel with a great relaxation area with outdoor hot tubs and foot spas. Lovely bar and restaurant area. Nice little touches for example a grab a vase with a flower for your room. Cute.

We booked the Gibson to stay the night of a concert in the nearby 3Arena. Check-in was extremely quick, the receptionist checking us in was very friendly and efficient. She advised me that as it was a concert night, the bar and restaurant were extremely busy and that there may be a wait for a table - good to know!...

We stayed at The Gibson for a long weekend in September and had a great time. We had an executive room and it was lovely - very spacious with a balcony overlooking the arena and the Liffey. The bed was huge (superking) and comfy and we had a really large bath in the bathroom with a shower over. The staff...

Stayed overnight for a concert recently. Hotel is right next to the arena so, really convenience. The hotel is reasonably priced for a city centre location. Rooms are clean, contemporary with good sized bathrooms and lovely shower. Staff were extremely helpful from the front desk , right through to accommodation staff. The hotel is in a great location - close to the tram to take you into town, or catch the ferry. Definitely a great location for the concerts, as right beside the 02 Arena. Worth a visit as you can celebrity stop and as for the comfy beds, you'd want to stay in bed for half the day. Great views...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chic and understated with a music pedigree that runs deep, the gibson hotel Dublin is the ultimate urban retreat. Music lovers, art junkies, food fanatics - whatever your passion it's right on our doorstep. We do sleeping, meeting, dining, gigging, touring, wedding and relaxing really really well. We mix all these things with a fresh, energetic, slightly off centre approach and we know it works. Exhibitions, supporting local artists, urban weddings and the odd celebrity are elements of what makes us different to the normal Dublin Hotel. You will find our staff friendly, responsive and happy - there is a secret to this that we can't possibly share. The gibson hotel is the ideal location to explore the city and planning your stay is easy. The M1 and M50 are 8 minutes away via the Port Tunnel and we have ample covered parking for our guests. With the luas stop right outside our front door Connolly train station is only 8 minutes away and Heuston train station is a short 20 minutes from the hotel. The Luas will take you to the City centre in 10 minutes or if you prefer to take in the views of the River Liffey a brisk 15 minute walk along the quays will bring you to O'Connell street, the heart of Dublin city. Great beds, 100MB complimentary WiFi, a gym, relaxation area, restaurant, bar and meeting space are all part of the deal. The gibson hotel is modern yet comfortable, it's different and it's better, it's large, it's friendly and it's a building that is alive with great people from the moment you set foot until the moment you leave. ... more   less
