I had heard about the Gibson so decided to give her a try. Checking in was quick and efficient. The room is spacious, clean lined and spotless. Had a brilliant nights sleep, sound proof perfect, bed a class act, black out blinds did the job. The power shower was a great way to kick your day off... Would highly recommend..

Situated just outside of the centre next to the 3 Arena and port, this hotel has everything you need. We stayed for 1 night, family of 3. Hotel is great, a real modern vibe. Great bar area with balcony overlooking the arena. The prices are reasonable for a hotel and the staff are very professional. If you are concerned about...

The hotel is perfectly located at the Point where the airport bus (747) conveniently stops after a 20mins ride from the airport. The area around the hotel has recently been developed with new residential buildings. Check-in was efficient and warm. The hotel has a nice and fresh feeling to it. The rooms are spacious with good quality furnishing and large...

We came across a very good deal for this 4* hotel, and stayed for 2 nights. The hotel starts from the 3rd floor, because it is built on top of a complex, cinemas etc. Awkward, but nice. It has an underground parking, 1 bar and 2 restaurants. Usually sold as B&B, and breakfast is served on the 3rd floor where...

Dear CemKar, Thank you for choosing to stay with us here at the gibson hotel and for taking the time to share your experience on tripadvisor. I stayed 3 nights in the hotel. I chose the Gibson due to it's location with the Dublin Convention Centre. It's not the easiest place to find and is a taxi ride from the main centre of Dublin. Having said that the local tram/Luas train stops right outside so this is a great option. The room size was excellent, I...

I found this to be a rather 'soul-less' hotel. You felt you were walking into an office block, which continued into the reception area. Not what you would call a 'homely' hotel but rather minimalist. Relatively convenient to the city centre: under 10mins by the Luas tram to O'Connell Street (4 euros retn), but in a rather isolated area -...

We had a brunch and then a bbq here for family and friends the day after our wedding and we could not have picked a better hotel. The Gibson is a very modern, chic hotel with excellent facilities. We stayed in an executive room which had a large balcony and a great view across the harbour. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chic and understated with a music pedigree that runs deep, the gibson hotel Dublin is the ultimate urban retreat. Music lovers, art junkies, food fanatics - whatever your passion it's right on our doorstep. We do sleeping, meeting, dining, gigging, touring, wedding and relaxing really really well. We mix all these things with a fresh, energetic, slightly off centre approach and we know it works. Exhibitions, supporting local artists, urban weddings and the odd celebrity are elements of what makes us different to the normal Dublin Hotel. You will find our staff friendly, responsive and happy - there is a secret to this that we can't possibly share. The gibson hotel is the ideal location to explore the city and planning your stay is easy. The M1 and M50 are 8 minutes away via the Port Tunnel and we have ample covered parking for our guests. With the luas stop right outside our front door Connolly train station is only 8 minutes away and Heuston train station is a short 20 minutes from the hotel. The Luas will take you to the City centre in 10 minutes or if you prefer to take in the views of the River Liffey a brisk 15 minute walk along the quays will bring you to O'Connell street, the heart of Dublin city. Great beds, 100MB complimentary WiFi, a gym, relaxation area, restaurant, bar and meeting space are all part of the deal. The gibson hotel is modern yet comfortable, it's different and it's better, it's large, it's friendly and it's a building that is alive with great people from the moment you set foot until the moment you leave. ... more   less
