Good clean, cosy and centrally located hotel in Temple Bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. Would certainly stay again. Good coffee shop on corner just outside. Airport transfer Aircoach stops a few mins walk away.

The Clarence Hotel is a well presented hotel, in a good location to get around the city, We stayed in a clean, comfortable and good size room, very comfortable bed, our room was a little to hot during our stay so we had to have the window open some of the time. Good choice at breakfast, full Irish or other...

The Clarence is an amazing place to stay. The service is five star, they make me feel at home. No request is too grand. I stay here because the rooms are breathtaking and very comfortable. The food is delicious and the bar in the basement was a great place to hang out.

My wife and I loved our stay. The staff was professional and very helpful, we felt very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. Hot whiskey in the Octagon bar was a perfect nigjtcap. Go to the ink factory just down from the front door for fantastic coffee and beautiful ink!

The Clarence Hotel, not sure if it's still part owned by Bono, is beautifully decorated, ok it could maybe do with a top up but its still done in very good taste and quite simple, lots of wood and wooden floors with rugs we had a deluxe room which was very large and had everything we needed for our two...

I'm happy to read that you enjoyed many aspects of your stay at The Clarence. In particular your kind words about the staff here are greatly appreciated. You are correct in mentioning that noise from the venue next door to the hotel can be an issue. This is a separate business to the hotel and as a result, unfortunately, we...

Had a wonderful weekend in The Clarence with friends celebrating our joint birthdays. On recommendation went for the superior room with a view of the river. Not sure it was really worth the extra but room was ok, not the largest but bed very comfortable and clean. We were on the 4th Floor and did hear some noise from the...

The front desk staff were great both on checking in and departure. Our bags ( and there was a lot of them) were loaded into the waiting cab why we were at breakfast. A very nice touch. The barman on our first night Sunday was a bit dour he gave us the impression he didn't want to be there. we...

While it certainly reads as though you enjoyed your stay with us for the most part, I am very concerned over your experience at the elevator. It is absolutely not something that I can recall happening in the past and I hope it did not detract too much from your stay. I will discuss the lack if interest you perceived...

After reading mixed reviews on the hotel regarding noise and the rooms being rather dated I was a little apprehensive. However, our room (No. 210) was located on the 2nd floor overlooking the rear of the hotel which we found very quiet. The room was large with a super king size bed. The radiator was not working in the room...

I'm delighted to read your positive review of The Clarence, and that the minor issues you encountered during your stay were easily and quickly remedied. I understand your concerns with the bathroom floor and will look into any action that can be taken to address this. While the floor certainly wouldn't have been dirty, the aging of the floor tiles...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Clarence boasts fifty bedrooms and suites, along with our world famous Penthouse Suite. Our rooms range from Classic through Deluxe and on to our River View and Garden Terrace Suites. Our furnishings are simple: classic Shaker oak, beds dressed in cool white linen, sitting elegantly in contrast to a palate of vibrant cardinal colours, rich drapes and luxe carpets. We aim to provide all the simple needs of our guests and we offer 'round the clock room service and all rooms have complimentary WiFi as standard. Our city centre location means car space is at a premium, but we do have a small underground car park that can be reserved for a small nightly supplement. It is also worth noting that our location does mean that the area can be lively at night, especially at the weekends and while we have taken every effort to reduce noise, it is not possible to block it all out. Please do consider this before booking. Within the hotel complex there are many drinking and dining experiences, from the chilled out bliss of The Study to the super stylish Octagon Bar, the perfect spot for an afternoon cocktail or a laid back nightcap. We also have Michelin star chef Oliver Dunne's Cleaver East restaurant within our walls and we are very proud that Oliver and his team provide all catering at the hotel, so whether it's a late night bite in your room or a Full Irish breakfast the next morning, you know your food will be of the highest standard, made from the freshest produce, closely cared for by Michelin starred hands. In the bowels of our building you will find the luxurious cocktail and food bar The Liquor Rooms, home to Dublin's arts set and the first ROI bar ever to be nominated in the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. On our first floor, overlooking the River Liffey lies The Cleaver East Suite at The Clarence, which can be reserved for special occasions, from large weddings to intimate business meetings. ... more   less
