I visited the Ashfield Hostel when on a weekend away with friends in Dublin. From the location to the staff to the facilities, for a hostel it was very good. The place is literally a stone's throw from the very popular Temple Bar district of Dublin, as well as the popular tourist/shopping attractions of O'Connell Street and College Green, so...

central hostel, easy to get to, affordable in terms of pricing, clean rooms with showers inside, safe for a solo female backpacker. the guys at the reception were very nice. did not really liked the fact that i had to ring the bell in order to get into the hostel, it's safer that way i understand that, but it can...

Reasonably priced, centrally located and great staff/service. Hard to beat, really. I really enjoyed my stay as a solo female traveller. I stayed in a 6-bed all-female dorm and I had a pleasant stay. The beds are comfortable enough after a long day of exploring, there's an overhead light and there's also your own USB charging station so you don't...

I had a two night stay booked recently at Ashfield and it was above and beyond what I was looking for. The hostel is super easy to get to from Dublin airport with a stop for the Airlink bus less on the opposite side of the bridge. Upon my arrival we were greeted and promptly checked in, as well as...

Arrived early in the morning and left late at night. Staff were helpful and welcoming on both occasions! Excellent location. And would recommend the walking tour and the botanical gardens! Ashfield room beds are comfy. Unfortunately my girlfriend snores...

High point of this hostel was the shower -- good size and great water pressure - much needed after a long day of touring! We had a 3 bed ensuite private room (family room) that was basic but very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the location is great and our room was nice and quiet. If you're looking...

The cost of the hostel was 138 EUR for one night in an eight-bed, dorm-style room. The hostel itself seemed a bit run down, the beds were creaky and loud and the doors were constantly slamming through the night. The bathroom, in the room, was tiny and not well kept. Although the location to sights was good, you will not...

Very charming staff, fantastic location and generally pretty clean and such. I was there on some week nights so it was pretty quiet, but I still was able to meet some people. The room was slightly cramped but it was good enough.

Honestly, not a huge fan of this place. It was clean enough, but there were places where the building needed repair. While I was there the bathroom leaked into the floor below, and the bathroom at reception just has a hole in the middle of the ceiling. I only stayed one night which was fine, but I wouldn't want to...

Have I been to fancier hostels? Probably. Have I been to hostels with better customer service? Not even close! We somehow missed our tour bus to the Cliffs of Moher and returned back to our hostel unsure of what to do since it was our last day in Ireland. Keith at the front desk saw how upset we were and...
