We stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge Sept 22 - 25, 2014 and had a great experience. The Lodge is located in Ballsbridge, out of the City Centre, but a quick five minute walk to the DART station. From the DART you can get to Pearse Street Station in four or five stops, about 7 minutes on the train. Location outside...

We have just returned from a fabulous break in Dublin staying at the Aberdeen Lodge. A very warm welcome and great assistance from all the staff. Room very comfortable and the breakfasts are of a great quality with lots of choice. 5 mins from the DART station for easy transport links north and south. 4 stops to Dublin city centre.

Great accommodations 10 minute walk to train station and close to some great restaurants in Sandymount. The Irish sea is not far 10 minute walk and there is a nice beach, lots of people walking and running. I liked the pancakes they served they are the best I had whilst in Ireland. The rooms were comfortable, the tv was a...

Spent 3 nights here in September 2014. Cosy place in a VERY quiet, affluent neighborhood. Staff was attentive and kind. Downtown is easy to reach by train (short walk to station) or cab (we used Uber or hotel would call). Sandymount is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. Breakfasts were nice as the kitchen will make to order. Classy afternoon tea/coffee...

A very be nice and well furnished building, in a quiet and fancy residential neighbourhood, far from the city centre but just a few minutes away from the Dart train line (<20 minutes to downtown) and also within walking distance from the seaside and from an area with restaurants and cafés. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners, with plenty...

Did not live up to expectation. Very friendly and helpful staff but failed on many basics. No plug in the bath. No remote control for a very old TV with an appalling picture. Room not made up and not resupplied having been out from 9 am for over 6 hours. Fire alarm went off 3 times the last being at...

The Aberdeen Lodge is a small and really cosy hotel in Sandymount in a quiet residential area, yet it takes only a couple of minutes to get to the train station and onwards to the city centre. The rooms are not too big and you shouldn't expect utmost modern interior, but if you like this kind of a bit traditional...

My sister and I travelled from Canada to Ireland and planned to spend a few days seeing the sights of Dublin. We purposely chose a more personal and homey accommodation than the type we would normally have, travelling for business. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot than the Aberdeen Lodge. Our welcome was warm, helpful and informative. The...

The place was comfortable and the hospitality was great! The bed was excellent, the service was really fast, the tea was good (and free!), and the breakfast was great (I have IBS and I could order the stuff that suited me - DO ask the non-lactose milk before hand, before you arrive). I got my shirts ironed free of charge,...

We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Ireland and found that one of our favorite experiences was staying at the Aberdeen Lodge outside of Dublin. The owners were so kind and helpful and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us! While the lodging may not be a 5-star experience, as other reviewers have mentioned, it is...
