Firstly I should clarify that I have not stayed at the hotel and that my experience is based on booking with the hotel. The terms and conditions on the website are not worth the computer screen they are displayed on. I unfortunately had to cancel a room at the hotel, well before the 48 hours stated in the T&Cs. You...

My partner and I decided on this hotel (after a few days of searching ) because of the amenities; bathroom en suite, location, full Irish breakfast, free wifi, 24 hour reception and courtyard area. Due to visa/passport delays from US embassy, I ended up staying at this hotel without my partner. The bus stop that takes you to and from airport...

We stayed two nights in a room at the back. The room was clean and comfortable, not large but adequate. The bed was two twins pushed together, which was fine for us. Wi-Fi was good. The hotel adjoins a private hostel and clients use a free Wi-Fi area, so it has a student feel, but was not an issue. Location...

Am in the middle of a six night stay at this blend of Hotel, B&B, and Youth Hostel. We arrived late in the evening and were given immediate and caring service. For a 200 year old building the room is quite comfortable, the staff helpful and the breakfast is good. Very happy to be staying here.

Dave (don't know which, but the one with glasses) was fantastic! I arrived at 9am and check in isn't until 2pm, but because he could see I was exhausted from my 2 day (running off of a few hours of sleep) trip, Dave had the room ready for me in less than 30 minutes! I like that the hotel is...

After reading about all the mainly positive reviews about this hotel, I was interested in booking for a two-night stay. However, because I will be driving and needed to check if parking is available, I call the hotel directly to inquire. The lady (who I suspect is the manager?) on the phone sounded like she was under pressure, and said...

Hi CK Maverick Thank you for taking the time to write an opinion piece about the Townhouse, I am uncertain from your comments whether you actually stayed or not. I would be surprised that our front of house staff would be discourteous, as the awards we have received suggest the contrary. Our staff engages with regular training opportunities and have...

I would say very good about this hotel BUT i have to say excellent due to Dave, duty manager i think, couldn't do enough to help, really lovely guy who is a credit to The Townhouse. The hotel itself is what i would call shabby chic, a little bit tired maintenance wise but with fantastic character and fab value for money what...

We spent out last night in Dublin at the Townhouse. My girlfriend and I weren't impressed, staff was nice, but the room were over priced and needed some work. The location is great, breakfast was so/ so, but the whole writers theme has potential.

Now Dublin is not cheap but this is a reasonably priced budget accommodation. The staff were lovely and sorted us with great rooms as well as helping us throughout. Due to the adjoined hostel the common areas have a bit of a hostel feel to it but this did not detract from the hotel section with lovely rooms. The breakfast...

My husband and I traveled to Germany in 2012 and decided to Ireland. I'm so glad we decided to book @ The townhouse. The hotel's staff were very friendly, helpful and the hotel had a warm feeling. Any questions we had, was handled quickly and with a smile. The room was stunning, big, clean and charming. It is well situated and...
