Myself and a friend stayed at the dorms (males). Decent rooms, clean showers with hot water. Lockers for personal baggage stored in a faraway room though. The location on Dame street is optimal and is adjacent to Temple Bar and a walking distance to the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin Castle etc. All in all, good value for money!

26th March 2016 • Leisure trip • Solo traveller • Bed in 6 Bed Mixed Dorm Shared Bathroom • Stayed 2 nights Plus points(4) The fact that there were lockers for my gear - my locker number was 7. Also, the very high standard of cleanliness throughout the entire building - both inside and outside. I also got talking to...

First up Kinlay House looked great and is in a fantastic location, myself an my party were looking forward to staying here for 4 nights. When we arrived unfortunately Kinlay House had cancelled our booking. The guy at reception (who claimed to be the manager) blamed the company we booked it through, but admitted that it was they who refused...

Everyone who works in the hostel and stays there are so nice. I'd advise getting earplugs or listening to music as on a hot day with the windows open, the traffic can be annoying. This was my first time staying in a hostel and I can safely say I'm more than eager to try out more hostels when I travel.

I stayed in an 8p mixed room. The sheets were cleen and the room smelled nice. Very nice staff. Will I go back? Hell yes! But maybe next time I'll take a smaller room, as my roommates were snoring so loudly...

Kinlay House is a really cool hostel. We slept in the 24-Bed-Room and had no problems with that. Everyone was quiet when someone was sleeping and the air was fresh, but not cold because the room is one of these old, high rooms. The house is an old one, but in a very good condition. Everyone is very friendly. Breakfast...

This was my first hostel stay so I am maybe a bit biased by hotels. The showers were push button, and fairly far from our room. You also had to pay to get a locker. We stayed in Kinlay room. It was loud outside and in. Sheets were clean and well kept, it was obvious that the staff really care...

$13 a night and it includes a HUGE kitchen. Bathrooms are nice but the shower water is very hot and you have no control of the temperature. Good security, happy to go again. Very close to Dublin Castle and the park.

My room (among many others) had no lock on the door; anyone could enter. They told me the cheapest way to go to the airport was a 7 euros bus, of which one was for them (for booking). And that was a LIE, for one euro they tricked me into booking instead of telling me there was a 3 euro...

Look. This hostel is actually pretty good. Clean, safe, etc. But calling it lively in the temple bar region is misleading as hell. Mostly due to the fact that they do not allow any alcohol in the hostel and that is just uncool. I'm an adult, and if I want a beer with my dinner I should be allowed. People...
