The owners were so kind and welcoming, they prepared sandwiches for us twice and prepared an exquisite breakfast. They gave us all the informations that we needed for pubs and places to visit. The rooms were clean and cute and it's only 2,5km for the city centre. We strongly recommend it to anyone, you won't regret it!!

Lovely guesthouse. The hosts are extremely friendly over the phone and in person. The double room was extremely clean and nicely furnished. It did face the main road but the traffic didn't bother me during the night. Great location only a 3 minute walk to Hueston Station. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay for a get away, me and partner stayed here for the weekend. The b&b felt like home as soon as we walked through the door, the hosts were friendly and offered great advice where to visit whilst our stay, and the food was amazing! Would defiantly go back there :)

I used this on a trip from the Isle of Man to the USA via Shannon, so its easy walk from Heuston Station is great as is the fact that one of my favourite pubs, Ryans of Parkgate Street rumoured to once have been connect to the Guiness Brewery by a pipeline, is just across the road. Although my room... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Gate Lodge Guesthouse this November 2015 for 3 nights. Excellent service, clean room and shower and really great homemade english breakfast. Location is brilliant, 4-5 minutes to the train/tram station and a bus stop on the other side of the road. It is about 15 minutes walk to the city, so one does... More

We had a comfortable 1 night stay at the Gate Lodge. The location was perfect for us as the B&B was a stone's throw away from the railway station with easy access to a mini mart and restaurants. Enjoyed the friendly and warm hospitality of Grainné, the owner.

Just came back from a short family trip to Dublin for the first time and to stay at the Gate Lodge was a wonderful decision. Grainne and Roberta were great hosts and from the off, they were very helpful and contributed to the great trip we had to Dublin. 3 minutes away from a major rail station, hop on hop... More

We've stayed at many B&Bs and this is one of the very best! I wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers that Roberta & Grainne are the best hosts ever! They are friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay - Roberta even left us a cafeteria with fresh coffee so that we could make... More
