Just stayed at Schoolhouse Hotel for 2 days. Receptionist who was there all weekend ( attention management- her name is Emma ) was the only truly rude staff member that we encountered over 2 weeks traveling in Ireland. Upon arrival, gave one word answers to my questions and was clearly not interested in helping us . Completely flat/cold affect. On...

This hotel has a really attractive bar/restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The food is good quality and is cooked and presented with care. The staff are efficient and charming - nothing is too much trouble. We will return.

We held our wedding reception in the Schoolhouse in September 2014. We were organising our wedding from Australia and from the first time we made contact with Therese (GM) we were met with professionalism, friendliness and prompt replies to our numerous emails and enquires. Therese made herself available to meet with us prior to our wedding day to select our...

We arrived in Dublin at 5AM, and, after requesting an early check-in before we departed from home and not being guaranteed it, we were so excited to arrive at the hotel to a room ready for us; this was particularly clutch given that we had a very full day of sightseeing planned after half a day of travel across the...

We spent our last 3 nights of a 4 week trip to Ireland in this lovely hotel. It is in fact an old schoolhouse cleverly converted into a fine hotel, pub and restaurant. The beamed ceilings in the dining room and pub, and the individually named rooms all added to the interest and glamour. We had 2 evening meals in...

Did a three-night stay here (Oct 14-16, 2014) and found the location to be perfect for us. Second drop site from the airport with Aircoach and prompt pickup back to airport for departure. Able to walk (25 min) to Temple Bar area, but also quick access to Hop-on Hop-off services. Staff was very friendly and room was spacious...after cramped quarters...

Stunningly renovated period hotel. My stay was only for 1 night whilst on business but the location was perfect for both central Dublin attractions and my business needs. Rooms are thoughtfully presented with everything you are likely to need, I was fortunate to have one with views over the Grand Canal. Lunch in the Schoolhouse bar was delicious, and whilst...

We stayed here on our last night in Ireland. The Schoolhouse is in a very quiet location but within walking distance of all Dublin's attractions. Our room was in the lower level, spacious with a great bathroom WITH WASHCLOTHS (thank you Schoolhouse!). The bar was great for drinks and dinner. We didn't have breakfast because of an early flight but...

Great location, great food and wine, also nice rooms. Also a great breakfast. What more can you ask for when almost in a capital city. We really did enjoy for 3 nights and highly recommend when visiting Dublin.

The Schoolhouse is a pleasant friendly hotel however we found our room to be very cramped and the bathroom absolutely tiny. The bath and shower set up was terrible. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast as was the bar for dinner. Although I will say the breakfast staff were not nearly as friendly or efficient as the bar staff. The...
