Says recently refurbished. We must have been on the floor that hadn’t been refurbished. Tired rooms and hallway. Very disappointed. And for the price it was very bad. We also were really hot in the room however couldn’t open the window because of the noise from some fan or generator.

Stayed here with friends last week. Hotel was lovely modern and spacious. We have a double and single bed room which was ample enough for 3 people. Staff were very lovely. The only issue we had was there was only two Nespresso cups in the room for 3 people, and if we wanted tea there was no cups for this. We did ask for one cup for the tea. However one of the Nespresso cups was heavily tea/coffee stained so needed cleaning before use. I feel if they know how many people are staying in the room then the room should be equipped for them. Overall the hotel was lovely.

Well presented hotel, staff friendly enough when not running around and swearing under their breath at you, hotel is old and has recently been refurbished, our shower flooded our bathroom because the drain couldn't keep up with the speed of water coming out shower, the smell of canabis was very powerful around the hotel also, we had dinner on our final night in the hotel restaurant as it was our anaversey, the menu read beautifully coming across as nothing other than 5 star cuisine...... Or so we thought! Frozen fish and chips and onion rings, not hand cut chips andd fresh local produce as described on the menu, shame really as the bar and restaurant are very comfortable and the term polishing a turd comes to mind. The lift also broke down and the smell of stale sewer water outside our room polished off our 3 days here beautifully 😉! All in all the staff are trying their best, but I feel the ones who hold the purse strings in this establishment have alot to answer for, enjoy if you can 😉

First time ever leaving a review but I felt the need to share my experience here as iv left Dublin quite upset and disappointed. Myself and my 3 year old Daughter booked to stay overnight as she had an important hospital appointment which is why we booked this hotel as it was so close and we live 4 hours away. Upon arrival the receptionist could not find my booking at first and then 10 minutes later she did but it was priced higher than I had confirmation for. I of course questioned this and was asked to wait for another member of staff to have a look. Time went on (another 10 min) now bearing in mind I had just traveled for 4 hours and I had a very restless 3 year old so we were eager to go to our room. Another Staff member took my details again and said now this is your room and gave me the keys. Just as I was entering the room they had given me the keys to I see someone asleep in the bed and bags on the floor, this room was already occupied. I went back down and had to wait a further 10-15 minutes for a new room and the response was sorry it was a mistake in the system I didn’t really feel they made any effort to rectify the situation and I felt very uncomfortable. So I move on then to dinner as my daughter is quite hungry and it’s getting late, I ordered her chicken nuggets and chips my food was ok but literally just ok. I needed to send her chicken nuggets back to the kitchen as they were burnt to a crisp and they were not eatable to which they send out new ones but not much better. I was still charged in full and she left behind most of her food. To top it all off then I’m in bed after 9pm the room is extremely warm with very little ventilation and the hotel rang my mobile to confirm my room number and I still don’t know why. Breakfast was lovely and morning staff were very friendly but that is the only positive I have from my stay I will most definetly not be returning in the future.

The room was very nice and staff polite. However this morning we were abruptly woken up at 7:56am with the sound of drills. LOUD drills and building work. This continued until our check out at 10:55am. I understand that work needs to be completed, but not prior to even 8am in the morning. Surely there are rules and regulations specifying acceptable times to carry out maintenance? This woke us up and we couldn't go back to sleep, despite having a very long day ahead of us travelling. For a four star hotel, this is absolutely ridiculous and for our romantic Christmas mini break it was really disappointing. The Belvedere Hotel on Great Denmark Street wasn't so 'great' and we wouldn't stay here again!
