We had a lovely time in a small but clean spot that was literally 10 minutes from the airport, which is really all we wanted. We met Maria who graciously showed us our room, and we asked for a recommendation for a local restaurant, we didn't want to drive to far, just wanted a relaxing dinner before the flight home.... After arriving at almara exhausted, after 29hrs travelling ,at 2.00pm were told we had to leave the residence due to massive works underway on the building ( I'm a tradie, and he was getting very minor work done in the kitchen area ) were just after a chair to sit ...anywhere . Had to walk the streets for that 1... More

Stayed 4 nights in Room 1 with no complaints. Alan is an absolute gem of a human being, he made us feel very welcome, gave us a run-down of nearby shops, restaurants, facilities, which bus to catch & where from, etc. We got stuck needing to pay for a taxi without cash on us and Alan was too happy to... The staff was really kind (they gave us information about the city and how to go there by bus), the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was simply great! The hotel is near the bus stop to go to the city centre, so it is easy to get to Dublin. Loved this experience!!

I stayed here for one night with my adult daughter over the St Patrick's day weekend. We needed a night's accommodation prior to heading to Belfast and this was the cheapest option available, with all Dublin's accommodation ridiculously expensive over this particular weekend. We had an upstairs room - no 4 - and if I was staying there again I... More

My father in law stayed here last minute situation as his his wife is sick in hospital, the host knew this. While his son was home to see his mother, thought he would bunk in with his father for the last night. So Alan the host came and asked for 40 euro for the extra person(without breakfast and the room... More

We arrived early on our last day in Ireland hoping to change as we traveled from Galway still in sleeping clothes. We were greeted by Maria who told us no rooms were available as they were being serviced . Maria allowed us to quickly change into clothing for the day in Dublin while showing us by may where to park... More

We are a family of 6. Two adults and chiffren age 17, 16, 11 and 2. We stayed in two rooms next to each other. Before arrival we had contact with The owners Mr and Fanning. They were helpful with information about how to get there. The rooms were small but comfortable. The location of Almara is just between The... More

Allen and Maria were fabulous hosts and greeted us with a warm welcome and made our trip to Dublin that much more memorable. The variety of the breakfast menu was fantastic and one of the mornings our son was a little picky and wanted some oatmeal that we brought with us and they were more than happy to heat it... More

Our stay at Almara B&B was great. The B&B is just a short bus ride from both the airport and downtown Dublin. Alan and Maria were wonderful hosts. The welcome we received was warm and inviting. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend staying here.
