I stayed at the Dawson hotel in late January for one night in the Junior Suite (321). Upon arrival I found the hotel to be charming and situated in the heart of Dublin with lots of restaurants and bars around within walking distance. After checking in the gentleman on reception offered to carry my bags tomorrow which I appreciated because...

I have stayed here twice, once with my boyfriend and once with my sister and mother for a girlie weekend away. we were staying in the room above the bar both times which i was made aware of before my stays. this was fine as on both occasions my party and I were going out anyway so noise was not...

The location is amazing but, I wasn't impressed, really. I had a nice time and the staff at reception was nice and smiley but the room itself, not what I'd expect from a 4* with these prices. The decor was good, but the room was loud. Also, the lift can only be used when the bar downstairs is open and...

We had the suite at the front of the hotel which overlooks the mansion house. It is beautifully furnished with antique furnishings. The standalone bath in the ensuite is sensational. We've stayed here twice and on the previous occasion we had a small room at the rear above the bar which we were told could be a bit noisy but...

This relates specifically to Sam's Bar. Nice bar, nice decor, great music, good crowd but AWFUL service from bar and floor staff. Back bar staff were impossible to get service from, two people from my party ended up being skipped numerous times and going to the other bar to actually get a drink. One of the guy's filling the fridge...

Upon arrival at The Dawson, we were quite confused as to where we would park so I hurriedly made my way to reception where a lovely female receptionist deployed another lovely male staff to accompany me to my car where he carried our luggage back to reception and directed us to the car park, truly appreciated this! Upon checking in...

I stayed at the Dawson for 6 days recently during a conference in Dublin. This is a very quirky hotel, the lobby is on the second floor and then one floor up is the official 2nd and 4th floors followed by the 3rd and top floor. There is a seafood restaurant attached to the hotel that was virtually empty the...

Reading the reviews from other people I tend to agree on most parts. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door (well ok, the moment we had carried our luggage up the flights to the reception. Yes it's one floor up). Didn't even look for the elevator, we just used the...

We stayed here for a long weekend. Quirky hotel, our suite was lovely, few issues with fittings in bathroom but remedied quickly. Bed was large and comfortable. The hotel is ideally situated for an easy walk to Temple Bar and Grafton Street. Breakfast was ok, as others have said, very little choice but what was available was fine. We would...

Stayed in this hotel as I was attending a family wedding nearby. Really nice hotel staff and great location. However the hotel itself is dated. Our room was cold and our key cards never worked. Breakfast was mediocre. Too expensive for what is below average. Shame
