I stayed at the Dawson for 6 days recently during a conference in Dublin. This is a very quirky hotel, the lobby is on the second floor and then one floor up is the official 2nd and 4th floors followed by the 3rd and top floor. There is a seafood restaurant attached to the hotel that was virtually empty the...

Reading the reviews from other people I tend to agree on most parts. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door (well ok, the moment we had carried our luggage up the flights to the reception. Yes it's one floor up). Didn't even look for the elevator, we just used the...

We stayed here for a long weekend. Quirky hotel, our suite was lovely, few issues with fittings in bathroom but remedied quickly. Bed was large and comfortable. The hotel is ideally situated for an easy walk to Temple Bar and Grafton Street. Breakfast was ok, as others have said, very little choice but what was available was fine. We would...

Stayed in this hotel as I was attending a family wedding nearby. Really nice hotel staff and great location. However the hotel itself is dated. Our room was cold and our key cards never worked. Breakfast was mediocre. Too expensive for what is below average. Shame

First impressions of the hotel were nice easy to find, stands out fast check in etc. I paid extra for a junior suite and happy I did the room was massive and well equipped (even with iron/ironing board/hairdryer/coffee/tea/kettle) Mini fridge was not working made a call to reception within 10 minutes member of staff had brought another mini fridge to...

Only getting around to writing this review. I got engaged whilst staying at the Dawson on 30/10/16. The staff were all so lovely. They sent a bottle of processo to the room. They couldn't do enough for us.Myself and my fiance will definitely be back.

It took us a few minutes to realise the reception was on the first floor of the hotel, but that was ok. A bit of a quirky layout with the lift only going from certain floors to certain floors and at certain times. We were glad we didn't have the buggy with us! All-in-all an okay stay as it was...

Very central with Stephens Green and Grafton St a stones throw away, above average rooms for the price and great staff, very friendly and welcoming. Welcome cocktail on arrival, good bar and good breakfast. Noise from nearby bars is to be expected and no different from any property in this location. Spa fitted me in at short notice and was...

The Dawson couldn't be better located, and within 5 minutes walk of Dublins best restaurants pubs and clubs. Our room was spacious, nice decor and very quiet (room 312). Gorgeous Sea Food restaurant also acts as the breakfast room. Staff very professional courteous and friendly.

Great location walk out the door and you are in the middle of everything a stones throw from Grafton street for shopping beside loads of good restaurants and pubs . The only disadvantage to staying here is the stairs, as it's an old Georgian building its only elevator is at the back of the bar and not accessible to all...
