I've never stayed in the hotel but the spa is definitely worth visiting. They have an extensive list of treatments and they use organic Irish products. I can definitely recommend their facials and massages. My friend had a milk bath which from what I was amazing. It's a quiet and relaxing - simply a great way to spend an afternoon.

Stayed here when it was La Stampa and had a great time! For this reason we booked it again. We had a terrible experience. Noise level was unbearable! We had to get out of bed at half twelve and ask to be moved to another room. They did move us but the room we were given had lights that didn't... More

When this hotel was La Stampa, it was glorious. The staff were friendly & accommodating and the facilities in the hotel were endless. Now it's the Dawson, 'they' have changed the lay out of the hotel which will find guests having to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to reception. On arrival you need to search for hotel... More

The hotel has taken a severe downturn since its La Stampa Days. The reception upstairs is poorly sign posted and inconvenient. I'm 5 months pregnant and whilst there was a porter to take my case to my room, I had to get up two flights of stairs to check in by myself! The resturant was closed - also very inconvenient... Very nice hotel, very cool and excellent location. I stayed here with friends on NYE and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Two complaints though our room was extremely hot with the window open all night we couldn't get the aircon working properly and then we only had cold water! When i called reception about this i was told... More

I had previously stayed at La Stampa, as it was previously called - have no idea what has gone on in intervening years.....other than not a lot! My husband had booked a junior suite, on the 3rd floor, which is really the 4th as you have to walk up 1 floor to reception. There are many stairs, and be aware... More

Good morning, Thank you for reviewing The Dawson Hotel & Spa. I appreciate your comments and we are working hard to address the issues you have raised. The room was lovely, large and clean and the service was friendly and efficient. It is probably not the place for sensitive sleepers as you can definitely hear the music from the nightclub. However, it was just background noise, not particularly loud. Coming from NYC, street noise is a constant, so I found the noise somewhat familiar. The bed was... More

Good morning, Thank you for your kind comments on The Dawson Hotel & Spa. We are centrally located in the beautiful leafy St. Stephens Green Area and as such subject to city centre noise. Sams bar next door has a DJ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to 3am which can affect a portion of the bedrooms. We are delighted... More

Despite what Ann the manager says under all the bad reviews wriiten here the noise here is not 'A seasonal' affair. This hotel, billed as a spa hotel, has a very loud nightclub inside it EVERY thu, fri, and saturdy night. Until 3.30 am. So loud indeed that I had had to keep moving the crockery in our room as... I had been told that the Dawson had been refurbished and so was hoping for a modern refreshed room. Clearly they haven't finished because my room was far from it. This resulted in an disappointing, irritating and finally uncomfortable stay. I had high hopes upon arrival and the reception staff are friendly and efficient and the property OK and well... More
