The Maples a House is a lovely, little quaint hotel just a couple of miles from the city centre. It's more of a guest house in style but fits all hotel needs. The staff are very nice and offer a lot of help and advice during your stay. The rooms are very small but are not cramped, with decent shower...

Me and my partner were really disappointed by our stay at maples house hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and both mornings we were woken up by loud noises thus making our stay not very relaxing. Also although the downstairs was very modern and the staff were very helpful, the rest of the hotel was very outdated. The beds were...

Thank you very much for your review. Ownership of the hotel changed two months ago and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the modernised facilities and that you found the staff to be helpful. A major refurbishment programme is well underway as you noticed and work is now being done upstairs. We apologise for any noise that may...

Nice hotel but bedroom a little basic and very small. Beds small and hard. Cost of room was excessive at 104 Euros excluding breakfast. Plaque on wall states that it is a three star hotel. However, I would rate it at a maximum of two stars. Parking is difficult as yellow lines everywhere around the hotel. Short walk to the...

Dear Bob E., Many thanks for taking the time to post your review. We are surprised to hear you thought we were over priced as we thought our rates to be quite competitive. As for your wake up call, I cannot apologize enough, it is unacceptable that you did not receive this. The hotel has come under new management in...

We booked into Maples House as they had a family room. I travelled with my sister and her two children. Rates were good, proximity to public transport was great and the staff were tremendous. We were on the top floor - no lifts - but the staff took our (large) luggage while we went into the city before check in...

Hard to know where to start reviewing this hotel..firstly the positives. The beds are very comfortable. The staff especially Eddie, the barman and Glen, the Chef were fantastic. I really hope the management appreciate these guys. We had dinner and the food was lovely and well priced. Now the negatives..The rooms are very small, our bathroom was claustrophobic with cobwebs...

Thank you for your review, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your food and the excellent service provided by our staff. We have also noted your less favorable comments about the hotel. We have just taken over the hotel three weeks ago and a major refurbishment programme is now about to begin. We hope you will visit us again...

We stayed at The Maples recently while attending an event in Croke Park. It is in a brilliant location, it is within easy reach of Dublin City Centre, Croke Park and the Airport, all within minutes. It is situated in a lovely quiet residential street. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed a drink in the bar. All of the...

The Maples Hotel has recently been taken over by new management. Eleven of us had dinner there on Monday evening (two children included). The food was exceptional. We had originally booked the hotel's function room for an event, but due to unforeseen family circumstances, we had to cancel on the actual day. The new management (Alan and his partner) returned...

In a lovely location, very quite and with lovely staff. We only stayed the one night, the rooms where more modern than I expected when I walked in and the beds where comfy. The only thing that put me off was the parking, they only have on road parking and it was pay and display, other than that I would...

This is a fairly average 3 star hotel with nothing too good or bad to say about it? The bar is ok and the food actually not bad. It is an easy 10 Euro taxi ride from the centre and affords easy access to anything north of Dublin. The hotel lacks a lift and the corridors and stairs are fairly...

The rooms are very small and the bathroom had a horrible smell. Stained curtains, carpets and walls. Looked tired and grubby! 40 min walk to centre of Dublin but is on the main bus route. Staff were not that helpful (confusing at times) and the manager very abrupt in her manner when dealing with issues. Breakfast was ok but again...
