Welcome to The Dean Dublin, a boutique place to stay smack bang in the heart of Dublin City. Super cool & comfortable rooms filled with stuff that will make you smile. Sophie's Rooftop restaurant, spaces to work and play, heated outdoor pool, and Power; the best hotel gym you've ever seen, guaranteed. Everyone is welcome, it's an open house. You don't need to be staying at The Dean to hang out at The Dean. Note that we are located in the middle of Dublin’s nightclub district, and as such have no quiet rooms just quieter rooms, depending on what’s happening around us on the night.

The Dean Dublin boasts a unique, stylish atmosphere that captivates many guests, though its trendy vibe is occasionally marred by noise from nearby clubs. While the hotel's central location is a hit for easy access to attractions, some reviewers express dissatisfaction with the value, citing price concerns and noise disruptions. The rooms' chic decor is noted, but mixed feedback on their size, cleanliness, and maintenance is evident.
Service quality varies, with commendations for friendly staff alongside reports of unresponsiveness. Amenities generally receive positive remarks for their style and quality.

Detailed Reviews
Having stayed at the dean in Cork and Galway this was our least favourite. While the staff were very friendly and the location is great l, the noise from the night club next door was extremely loud and lead to a very broken sleep. The room was dusty and there were contact lenses on the window cill behind the bed left by a previous guest. The receptionist did offer us a quieter room in the townhouse upon check in but we wanted to stay in the main hotel to avail of the full room service menu that was not available in the townhouse.

We spend 3 nights at the Dean, and were delighted to stay here. The hotel is in the best location, all sights, pubs and restaurants are within walking distance. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly. The hotel and rooms have beautiful look and feel, and the rooftop bar/ restaurant offers great cocktails or breakfast. Only one thing was less convenient: the room was tiny! There was no room to hang your clothes.

We stayed at the Dublin Dean during a recent trip to Dublin for the Navy vs Notre Dame game. The location of the hotel is great, 10-20 min walking distance to all the local attractions, plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. The rooms are very small. so make sure you ask for a room in the Townhouse part of the hotel, which has bigger rooms (still small by US standards) and is located just adjacent to the main part of the hotel. The Townhouse has its own bar which is nice and the main hotel has a nice bar on the first floor. There is a rooftop restaurant called Sophie's which is good and has a great view of Dublin.
The downside was the noise, there are a few night clubs nearby and a large construction site, minus that a good hotel overall. Staff were very accommodating.

Set in the centre of Dublin, The Dean offers a quality stay. The hotel is modern, with a slight industrial feel in how it is presented. The rooms are very clean and spacious, loving the decor, right down to the subway tiles incorporating retro deep sinks in the ensuite. I always have a great feeling when you first walk into the room and the smell of cleanest hits your nose. Staff are friendly, customer focus, and always ready to engage in small talk.
The big advantage is the multi-national staff on premises, catering to guests with language barriers.
I would advise booking a quiet room as you are in close proximity to nightclubs, which is a positive for some of the guests.
If you are driving, talk to the hotel before you arrive. You will get a 50% discount with parking less than a five minutes walk.
Overall, it's a really great place to stay.

I stayed here for one night in room 407 and I would highly reccomend it, the room was so spacious & very clean. There were also so many nice amenities like a vinyl player & a speaker. The fridge in the room was fully stocked with different bits which was nice and there was extra room to put our own drinks in it! And the bath/shower was so good. I did think it was slightly noisy in the morning with other guests etc walking around but it wasn’t loud enough to be an issue ! We parked at the Stephen’s green Q car park which is about 8mins walk away from The Dean and reception then validated our ticket so we got a discounted rate which was €29. Reception also took a €50 damage deposit fee at check-in but this was refunded back soon after check-out.
I’m looking forwarding to staying again definitely!

The hotel was fantastic and myself and my girlfriend had a fantastic time here. The staff were extremely friendly and were extremely helpful. We were offered cans of water as soon as we arrived which was a nice experience and they had a sealable lid which made it even better. Reception also has a bar in it with beautiful cocktails I really enjoyed the "absolutely" although I do think it was presented a bit nicer in Sophie's and would like if they were both presented the same with the honeycomb on top.
The location was really nice, it was roughly a €15 taxi from Heuston train station and only €10 to the bus station. It was only a 10 minute walk into Stephens Green shopping centre and there was plenty of restaurants nearby (although I'd highly recommend Sophies rooftop for at least one night)
When we arrived in our room we were both blown away by just how nice it was (Hi-Fi room) and honestly felt the pictures didn't do it justice. The shower was gorgeous and the towels felt very luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable but I felt the mattresses separated sometimes and created a bit of a gap in the middle which we had to get up to try push them back together. The views from the room weren't exactly the best but it was okay and nice to have the two windows in our room. In the mornings we could here knocking outside our room at other doors quite a lot (presumably cleaners or staff) which occasionally made it a bit hard to relax in the mornings as we were constantly wondering if it was us or someone else. It would also be nice if there was a couple cans of water in the mini fridge for free would be a lovely addition.
It was a little bit pricey however we got a reasonable deal at 550 for the 3 nights (Friday-Monday) so not exactly the cheapest but not too bad considering the location and the quality of the hotel. We're only after leaving and already would love to be back.

Stayed at the Dean with Friends for the weekend, the hotel is very trendy. Sophies restaurant/bar on the top floor offers a brilliant option for a night out, great views, superb food and drinks, and the service was great up there at night, and for breakfast in the morning. The rooms were stylish and a good size, and the Gym was as modern a gym as I've ever seen at a hotel. The location is great for the pubs & restaurants on Camden St, a couple of mins stroll and you are right in the middle of the action. Temple bar is 15 min or so walk up the main road as well. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Only word for this hotel and it’s amazing staff ‘Superstars’!!!
We had my best friends hens here, the team at the Dean made it so special, a night never remember.
From booking the rooms to making amendments, the reservation team were completely on the ball with the changes.
The team in Sofies restaurant had our tables side by side, we were overlooking the Dublin skyline, they had all our food and drinks orders on point and made such an effort to make us feel safe, we were well looked after. The food was unreal, everything was delicious, so much so that some of our party requested a take away box for what they couldn’t finish (needless to say in the AM this went down an absolute treat).
The Breakfast was so good, some of the party went up to the restaurant for breakfast others got it to their room, by the sounds of it there was no difference the quality of the food, everything was hot, fresh and tasty.
The staff assisted us with bringing our bags from the cars to the room, they helped with the sound system in the room to ensure we could dance the night away, they brought us up all the food, drinks and ice we could possibly want, every staff member we encountered was super friendly and all were sanitising their hands and wore face masks.
To the absolute legends that are the team on reception!!! As anyone who is organising a hen night will understand that not everything goes 100% to plan, people can’t go to one part, or may not be able to go at all and trying to keep the hotel and restaurants informed can get a little overwhelming at times. I have to say all of that stress was taken away from me as the team on Reception looked after it all. Tom and the team, honestly I cannot thank you enough, for the days I called stressing out over rooms, from allocation to cancelations, to ensuring the tables for lunch and dinner were kept up to date, you guys were so professional, calmed me down straight away listened to what I needed and made it happen! As you suggested the two Suites were 100% the right way to go. The rooms were so quirky, the huge SMEG fridge such a bonus, the guitar, the speaker system to the record player with such a good selection of records to choose from, plenty of room for everyone to dance the night away, honestly the sound system was unreal! Not that we got much sleep but the sleeping arrangements were great too. You went above and beyond for my party and I, since then the Bride to be and all the hen party have not stopped talking about the amazing night we had, that’s all thanks to the remarkable staff at the Dean, we could not have asked for anything better, we were treated like royalty from start to finish. Everything about our stay was 5 star, you guys are complete superstars, we have and will definitely be recommending the Dean Hotel – Dublin to everyone, we can’t wait to book our next stay with you guys

The staff were extremely rude at check in and check out. They were irritated when I questioned them on the amount they were charging me as it was more than they had said. Sent me the wrong way to the room and got annoyed when asked to help me find the room. At checkout the employee completely blanked me after asking me for my room number and started talking over me to a group that were behind me. The interactions with the staff left me with a sour taste in my mouth. The room was grand and it’s in an ideal location but the staff could use some hospitality lessons.

We booked two nights at The Dean. Unfortunately the 2nd of the two nights was almost double the price of the first night due to the Coldplay concert and the bulk of hotels in Dublin profiteering from the subsequent demand. I’d read the reviews which all recommended that you stay in a room away from the night club. We made the request and they moved us to the Townhouse section. A lovely quirky and well appointed wing. The room was small but well stocked and was perfect for a two night stay. The only downside was that we were on the 1st floor and the builders at the back may as well have been in our room. They started at 6.30 and the noise was possibly worse than the night club would have been. Not the start to a days sightseeing that we’d hoped for.

Hotel is really good for noise if you book a room in the back of the hotel. The hotel is smoke free as it is govern by Irish no smoking law inside buildings open to the public. Staff are very friendly and this hotel is close to the city - within a 5 minute walk and the tram lines also. This hotel is a great place to stay and within easy access to tours and sights in Dublin. Trinity college is a 15 minite slow walk, Grafton Street , 5 minutes and the eating areas on Camden street also a 5 minute walk.
There is a Luas line not sure if it’s the red now, no carpark it’s right on a Main Street.
Pay as you go mini bar that has quite a variety. If I remember correctly bottles of water were free and there’s even a conplimentary condom lol. Everything else was marked on a list with the prices.
