The people were really helpful and nice, the place was warm, clean and comfortable. We felt we got good value for money compared with places in Dublin. It's also a good location, a short walk from the sea and it's easy to get into the city by public transport. Sandycove is a great little beach for children and The Joyce...

Thank you Mike for our first visit to you. Our room was superb and your unobtrusive and friendly service is much appreciated, we thought that the value is very hard to beat, thank you for all your advice.

A welcoming guest house and conveniently located for Dalkey and Blackrock ares. But in need of a major spruce up as the decor was tired and dated. The en-suite bathroom was postage stamp size but just about adequate. No communal room with comfy armchairs except for morning breakfast. Plenty of leaflets and brochures in entrance hall about local attractions, as...

We stayed one night - 3 males to one room before taking the Ferry back to the UK - The Proprietor was friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was good, the price competitive and the location convenient to walk to both Dun Laogharie and Dalkey. Yes the décor was dated and there didn't seem to be any common area you could...

Stayed at Tara Hall last april 2014 with my daughter for one night. Its about 5 min walk from the dart station which was handy. We were met by the owner when we arrived and shown to our room which was lovely and warm. The beds were very comfortable with nice fresh linen. Tara Hall is an old historic building...

First thing on arrival we were told we were late, apparently booking.com guests have to arrive by 8.30pm. It was 9.30pm. Next was a request for payment. We paid £100 despite the booking fee being £94. Change was not given and our requests for same were simply ignored! Because we were leaving at 6.30am we were "too early for breakfast"...

A traveling companion made our reservations based on the website photos and info. The exterior looks great (lovely garden), and the inside is less so. Our room was pretty small, the room's chair was rickety with a pillow covering the torn upholstery, the carpet dusty, and bed hard. The bathroom was a tiny corner partitioned off from the bedroom and...

Used as a stop off with the dog and family on way to West coast . Comfortable and quiet . Good location near the sea . Good breakfast . Preferred this to the anonymous chain hotels . Staff pleasant and helpful .

Visited here overnight with my mother last week. It's old, drab, and shabby. The twin room we got was tiny, and the en-suite even tinier. Everything was worn, the carpet was filthy, and the flow on the shower was non-existent. The only saving grace to this place was the cooked breakfast, it was gorgeous. A total rip-off for 80e BandB,...

We stayed for four nights at this homely B&B. Margaret couldn't have done any better, giving sound advice and a wealth of knowledge. Always welcoming, she was keen to help any way she could. The breakfast was lovely, fresh and hot, with a nice selection of brown/white toast and some delicious soda bread! Yogurts, fruit and cereals also available in...
