The Anglers Return was a delightful house in a stunning location. The rooms were really comfortable and we slept wonderfully. Lynn is a tremendous baker and she treated us to lots of her delicious cakes, biscuits and bread, she also gave us lots of advice on places to visit.

The location is ideal for visiting the area. The gardens surrounding the house were lovely. The accommodations were superior. Bedding was new and comfortable. Some rooms have private bathrooms, some don't, specify when booking. Breakfast included - Fresh bread, cooked rhubarb, homemade orange marmalade and fresh stewed plums --all yummy. Lynn is a wonderful hostess. We will stay here again!

This inn has a story that is really sweet. Maybe the story will be on the website soon. Lynn is a very warm and wonderful host. The home was built in the 1800's and has some amazing architectural features. It is so comfortable, and a beautiful mix of country and castle!

Recently, my wife and I stayed at this B+B. While the location is spectacular, and the building full of "old world charm", we were mainly disappointed after this. The interior is quite dated and requires a facelift. There was a very comfortable sitting room, but when the open fire is lit, smoke starts to fill the room. Difficult to read...

Stayed here for two nights and I really didn't want to leave. Though it was absolutely perfect and was a great mix of Irish and countryside charm. The property has a really great atmosphere about it so that you instantly feel right at home. The village of Roundstone is super close by and easily accessible by car or bike and...

I happened to stay there for 2 nights recently and I was charmed. Everything about this place is beautiful and cozy and made to make you feel at home. Nothing is missing, not even the different scented soaps in the bathroom. The beds are extremely comfy, blankets thick and warm. Lynn, the owner, will go out of her way to...

It has been almost two years since our trip to Ireland (June 2012) and the Anglers Return is still fresh in my memory. Lynn was so pleasant and helpful during our stay. Our two daughters stayed in the end room with the twin beds and all of us shared the hall quaint bathroom. (the window from the bathroom is so...

Simply wonderful! Stayed here with a friend in May for 2 nights as we were partaking in the Round Stone Bay 8k run. The lady of the house Lynn was extremely warm and welcoming. The house is so well-maintained and we found it to be rich with history and character. The bedroom we had was at the front of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled at the foot of Derradda Hill, overlooking the famous Ballynahinch River, The Anglers Return was built in the 1800s as a sporting lodge and is now the home of Lynn Hill and her family. The house is a wonderfully peaceful guesthouse enhanced by the log fires and beautiful gardens. Outside, the grounds are highlighted by a profusion of flowers, stone walls, beautiful river views and garden paths. Awarded as one of Bridgestone's "Top 10 Places to Get Away From it All" in 2011, The Anglers Return is a peaceful retreat to rest, relax and enjoy the west of Ireland. Roundstone, a lively picturesque fishing village, with many good restaurants, pubs, traditional irish music, craft shops and galleries, is only 7 minutes away, south-west along the coast road. With wonderful beaches, the coastal area is a delight. Recommended by "McKennas Guides, 100 Best in Ireland", "Alastair Sawday's Special Places" and "Georgina Campbell's Ireland" ... more   less
