Called in to meet some family for a cup of coffee and a catch up. We found a table which was dirty and was about to sit down when a waitress came over and barked at us to sit at the bar while she cleaned the table in the mean time we found a clean table and sat there. Went...

Having been here many times in the past,I looked forward to a meeting here. It's probably been about 12 months since my last visit and it still looks modern / clean and attractive. But I was disappointed with the menu. Not very much of a selection to choose from. I really fancied a salad. But none on the menu. I...

We were attending a wedding in the hotel opposite and stayed for two nights. Room was very nice, comfortable and very clean. Very nice breakfast and a really nice place all round. Would recommend this hotel and bar. Only slight downside is the traffic noise as we had the window open and also was woken by the dustcart. Not a...

The service at hotel and restaurant was always very attentive. it was my partners birthday therefore I asked for some flower to be placed in the room and we got a wonderful bunch of lovely flowers with some great tasting home made chocolate and a lovely bottle of wine. The room had everything we needed. The only downside was despite...

Flying visit to Galway stopped at the Huntsman for lunch, almost didn't stay as they were extremely busy, Saved by Charlotte who found us a lovely table. Enjoyed lunch of fresh local seafood, the battered Galway Hooker just melted on the tongue, washed down with a pint of Guinness, rush soon subsided and we enjoyed a pleasant lunch hour, good...

Ate here this evening. Menu was really nice with good choice. Three specials available including one vegetarian. Had a delicious risotto for starters- mushroom and butternut squash. Yummy. Followed by seafood platter. Everything was fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend.

I have noticed in the last few months that this establishment seems to be changing rapidly both staff wise and in general management of the bar. Gone are the days when you could get a toasted sandwich or bag of crisps at the bar, you now have to order something to eat off their menu which rarely changes and has...

Stayed here for one night and loved every minute. Staff are very friendly (particularly a blonde lady who checked us in, didn't get her name, sorry!). A 5 minute drive from Eyre Square - the cost of a one way taxi varied between €6 and €9. Made use of the hairdryer and coffee making facilities which were great. Free parking...

Food was very nice and the service was quick. Difficult to enjoy however, with the fact that a birthday party was shoved in on top of us (at 5:30pm), followed by blaring music. Avoid the bar and go to the restaurant!

My (now husband) and I went here for a long weekend. I was not disappointed. We had a little living room section as well as a main bedroom. The room was quiet and just what we needed, the restaurant and bar were spot on. Loved this place. Great base for exploring without being in the hussle of Galway itself. We...
