We stayed with Jim for sadly just one night. Jim was very warm, and we got to meet his two pups, as we were missing ours! Breakfast was delicious and made to order! I'm sorry wet didn't get to stay longer. Thanks Jim for a great stay! Laurel and Carrie

We had only a couple of nights to spend in Galway with our group of 13. Fourwinds did not disappoint us in any way! Jim was wonderful to work with from the reservation to arrival, accommodations, breakfast, everything was just wonderful!

My family and I highly recommend staying at Fourwinds Lodge. Fourwinds Lodge has its own quiet charm and beauty yet is conveniently located close to Galway City's center. The house has a spacious glass sunroom, koi pond, STUNNING gardens and views of Galway Bay which make Fourwinds Lodge truly one-of-a-kind. Our gracious host, Jim, made us feel right at home,...

My husband and I stayed at the Fourwinds Lodge for a night, and absolutely recommend this place!! The location is quiet, and is located close to the city. The owner Jimmy is very helpful and friendly. There is no lifts in the building and Jimmy helped us carry our luggage all the way to the fourth floor. He was very...

We stayed here two nights on our tour of Ireland. We needed three rooms and Jim accommodated that. The B&B is located near Salt Hill main dining area. It is walkable but far and it was cold when we were there (for us Californians). The rooms are small and need a bit of attention. But overall were comfortable. Jim was...

We enjoyed a two-night stay here and appreciated its location in the quieter area of Gentian Hill just beyond the Salt Hill neighbourhood which is home to many good restaurants and pubs. Galway City is a bustling place which can be a bit jarring after staying in country houses in nearby Dingle Peninsula and appreciating the natural beauty of the...

Jim and Bernie were great hosts with lots of good advice and tips on things to do and see. Rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Make sure to do the walk along the coast into the centre of Galway, takes about an hour at a leisurely pace.

Beware!! Booking.com states that Visa, MasterCard is accepted...NOT For us! Jim, b & b owner demanded cash!! He would not take Visa/MC. I contacted Booking.com post trip and was advised to leave this review after they verified this b & b is supposed to take credit cards. I would have rated 4 Winds better but not after this. Very good...

My girlfriend and I were taking a three week tour through Europe and chose to spend three days in the outskirts of Galway taking in the beautiful west coast scenery of Ireland. The Four Winds lodge was a quaint house with and incredibly well-pruned garden in front, huge sun porch for enjoying your breakfast and comfortable rooms. Our room was...

Jim was very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bernie. Room was very comfortable and we were grateful for the space heater in the wardrobe. View was okay, as was breakfast. Seating is at individual tables. We prefer all guests sitting down to one large table to promote interaction. Jim provided plenty of brochures and...
