We booked a trip to Ireland about a week after Aer Lingus began a fare sale. By the time we got around to taking advantage of the sale and planning our trip, all of the "recommended" (Frommer's, Rick Steves, etc.) hotels and B&Bs had been booked. We reserved a room at the Eyre Square Hotel. I was worried because reviews... More

From the extremely warm welcome through to the farewell two days later this place was the friendliest hotel we have stayed in I two months. Room was quite large and loved the simple layout. For the money we paid, the nearby cheap parking and the easy access to everything including a tourist offic next door this place was great.

Arrived at the hotel today. Staff were friendly and gave me my room key. My husband was going fishing so I wanted to go shopping and complete some work. Obviously, he would not be back for some time. Well the room was small and needs a refreshing. Compared to other hotels I would not ever come here again or recommend... More

This is a very nice hotel. We were warmly welcomed and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and clean. Fresh towels each day and the linen was changed even though we only stayed four nights. Everything you could want for breakfast and cooked to order. The restaurant in the evening was excellent. A nice... More

Hotel could do with a face lift, it has a good location. Rooms just okay need updated. Only had breakfast in the hotel which could do with a bit of improvement offering more fruit and continental style breakfast. The best part of the stay was some of the staff. Dan one of the male staff members was very friendly, helpful... More

Stayed here on Monday night and the place was central to everything. Lovely bars and restaurants near by. Didn't like the room we were located and it was no problem to reception and we got changed. Maybe it needs a coat of paint here and there but you couldn't company as the location was perfect

The reception and bar do not reflect the rooms- downstairs is quite modern and although the room was clean it was smelly and the bed dipped on one side. In saying this, the staff are lovely and breakfast was fab. Great location and only €80 for a double room.

I need to start out by saying that I didn't actually stay at the Eyre Square. I had booked a room there for 3 nights (Sat, Sun, Mon) over Easter Weekend. Booking directly with the hotel, I thought it was odd that they required a non-refundable deposit of 24 Euro, but I went ahead and booked. Because I was staying... More
