What can I say? When you book into B and B's you're not quite sure what you will end up with. I am so thrilled we booked with Berna. She is lovely, kind, has a great sense of humour and has a passion for what she does. her place is located within walking distance to both Lower Salthill and Galway...

My three daughters and I stayed at Devondell for one night in late September, 2013. We were warmly welcomed by our hostess, Berna Kelly, and were immediately charmed by her easy laugh and delightful sense of humor! After getting us settled in our three rooms (one double and two singles), Berna drove us to the edge of Galway City –...

There is little I can add to the glowing tributes of previous TA contributors. Berna had emailed me months before saying "not to expect anything too special". She is simply too modest. The accommodation was comfortable and met all our needs. As others comment, it is the other bits that make this B&B a must if you are staying in...

Wow, what can we say about this B&B and Berna, except that our 3 day stay with her made it so very special for us. Berna treated us like family from the minute we walked into her beautiful B&B. She told us where to go, what to see and how to get around. Berna is a very beautiful person, her...

Our party of four stayed with Berna in early September for 2 nights. After an excellent dinner recommendation from Berna on our way into Galway, "Morans The Weir" we arrived later than planned. Berna greeted us at the door and after settling into our rooms, calmed us down with a special Irish "treat" as she sat and talked with us...

Berna was a great hostess. She greeted us with a very cozy sitting room with fire going and offered Irish coffee and tea. She assisted us with dinner plans since we were arriving fairly late. We woke up to a beautiful table set with everything you can imagine for breakfast including cereals, fresh fruits, pastries, baked fruit, yogurt, as well...

My wife and I stayed with Berna on September 1, 2013. She was a very gracious hostess and gave us great directions and suggestions for our first night in Ireland. We highly recommend staying with Berna. Her breakfast choices went far beyond the traditional Irish breakfast and were excellent. Mike and Kathy Lewis

Everything everybody said was right. Berna met us at the front door and from then on thoroughly spoilt us. We had tea and biscuits on arrival and were able to help ourselves whenever we wanted. The breakfasts were better than the 5 star hotel we stayed in the night before. They kept us going the whole day. We had 2...

There really isnt anything more I can add to what everybody else has been saying about Devondell, it is an absolutely perfect B&B and Berna is the best. We were in Galway for a family wedding and the five of us were the only ones staying at the time, Berna made us feel so welcome right from the very start...

Devondell is by far the best B&B that we have stayed in for many years. After a very mediocre introduction to the world of Irish B&Bs, Berna has restored our faith. Berna greeted us warmly and provided a beautiful spread of afternoon tea and biscuits on arrival. We stayed in the 'sunflower' room which is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and...
