Great place and great people. If you're a musician, who didn't bring their guitar with them but still would love to play, there are guitars there. And all around town you'll meet so many street artists. And nearby there are pubs with great music every night. So if you love music. Galway is the place to be, and if you...

The location is really good. The best. The staff the blond girl in special (receptionist) was very rude and unpolite. The Brazilian guy was amazing. The pillows are really bad, very old! The room was not very clean also the bed sheets.

We actually stayed in the small apartment nearby. Quay street is party central, lots of pubs, lots of music (both inside and outside) great for all ages. We hag or own car so could explore the Connemara by ourselves but staff can also sort bus trips for you.

Such a good time. The staff was helpful and informative, it was very clean, the kitchen was nice. The rooms were VERY small, there was hardly enough space to turn around in 302, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms so whatever.

This was my first hostel on the start of my backpacking trip. Staff was very Friendly and helpful, gave aot of suggestions. Hostel was clean and in the BEST location. Multiple bathrooms and showers in the room, good luggage storage under the beds you could lock. Beds were comfortable and clean as well.

Barnacles is right on the main drag of things to do in Galway, so it's the perfect location! The rooms were clean, as well as good breakfast options in the morning. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to go out at night, as it is surrounded by bars and restaurants!

Barnacles is nice enough, but located just across the street from a bustling nightclub. Nightclub closes at 2:00 AM, and the drunks continue loudly milling about the street until 3:00 AM. The front desk gladly supplies free earplugs from a 2 gallon jar of same , but the noise level is still too loud for sleep, even with earplugs. For...

Ultimately central location to the Galway night life, which is thriving and entertaining. Can walk to all attractions though fairly significant walk to bus terminal for Dublin and Cliifs of Mohr excursions

High marks for Barnacles' location in Latin Quarter. Latin Quarter is very popular with visitors and regulars most of the day and night until the wee hours. The very early AM is busy with street cleaning and deliveries. So sleepers be prepared for noise from the festivities below. It is a great location for people who want to be in...
