I do have a soft spot for any pub where you can take a seat and the bar staff will run your drink over to you, which this pub did. This is a lovely pub immediately opposite Galway Hospital which means the guest rooms upstairs, very reasonably priced, make this a very convenient pub. The price includes a full Irish... More

We spent 2 nights here and found we had enough space in our cosy room and loved the breakfasts both mornings. We stayed in the bar for the live music for 1 night and loved the vibe and friendly staff. All in all great place and look forward to going back!

We spent the night here on our last day of the Wild Atlantic Way trip. Authentic Irish bar&restaurant with lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. We arrived just 5 min before the kitchen closed, starving after a long day of travelling, but they did serve us with kind manner. The meals were delicious. The inn: above the bar the rooms... More

Spent a night here due to its convenience to university hospital halfway. Reviews are correct on the bedrooms, they are very small, however they are spotless. Plenty soft white towels provided for the shower. White linen on the beds. A kettle with tea and coffee and a hairdryer. There is also a separate entrance if you do not wish to enter... More

We watched the all-Ireland Gaelic Football finals here, while having dinner. I had mussels and my wife had fish and chips. The food was excellent and the beer was great. The place was rocking because of the football game. This was where we learned that in Ireland, the waiters do not take your order right away, and they do not... More

The bedrooms are very small and the bathroom is tiny. There is just enough room for the double bed pushed against one wall. The bathroom is wide enough for the toilet, you have to shuffle sideways past the sink to get into the shower. The food was excellent. Very expensive for what we got.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Galway. The Sliding Rock is a bar with rooms upstairs. You check in at the bar and the bartender brings you to your room. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom is even smaller, you can wash your hands while sitting on the toilet. You will hear the noise of the pub... More

Stayed there for 3 days. Really good location and breakfast is amazing. The only down was the toilet. It was super small. I'm tiny and I found very hard to do anything in that bathroom . It was quite noisy during the night. I would only recommend in case you need to go somewhere that's is in the area. In... More

This establishment changed hands within the last year. Long been popular with locals, it has now received a new lease of life. I have eaten here a few times lately & indeed indulged in a few pints on occasion. They serve a good breakfast, nice lunch & my most recent was the steak special which includes a pint or a... More
