We really enjoyed our stay at the G Hotel in Galway. The breakfast was delicious and our room was very clean and spacious. It's about a 20 minute walk to the main attractions in Galway, or a very short cab ride. The free valet parking...More
Check in was ok friendly staff. Was not what I was expecting of a 5 star hotel no Wow factor at all I would of said it was a 4 star. Hotel looked tired it needs a bit of tlc. Walls need painting our table...More
Stayed here last week - the pink is starting to fade , the tiles are starting to dull , the sparkle is starting to fade . In short, the place is starting to look a bit shabby and tired . That said , staff were...More
This hotel features fuchsia carpeting, very dimly lit hallways, and lots of bling. It really looks as if a 14-year-old girl decorated it instead of a renowned milliner. The rooms are large and comfortable. But the beds and chairs, like those in the lobby, are...More

Hi, although it's a gorgeous hotel, The G isn't in the best location. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre and is built in a retail park. I'm not sure what kind of tickets you mean so can't help with that but there is a concierge desk so I'd imagine they would be helpful. I stayed midweek and found the bar area very quiet , I live in Galway and have actually never heard of any entertainment taking place there, except for maybe race week. To be honest there isn't much around it except for a pub across the road which would be livelier than the hotel . The hotel is across from Lough Atalia but to see Galway Bay you would need to head to Salthill which is around 15 minute drive. So for nightlife and sightseeing you will definitely be best to catch a taxi into town or walk if it is one of the rare days when it isn't raining!! Galway is a great place to visit and I'm sure you will a lovely stay.
