Griffin Lodge is an amazing place to stay in Galway and in Ireland. The location is perfect and within walking distance to main shopping street. A supermarket about a block away for random items (water, etc). The rooms are kind of small but very clean and I slept well. The breakfast was yummy with a few options. AND...french press coffee!...

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit Galway Races. The house is ideally placed and a short walk to the town centre and parking is included. Our room was on the ground floor and very small but we were only sleeping there so you dont need loads of space, the room had tea/coffee making facilites and a decent bathroom....

we stayed here for 2 nights in july and I still can't get over how small the room was. apart from that the staff were really friendly and the breakfast was nice while it was only a 5/10 minute walk to town so happy with the location also.

I stayed here for one night in a triple room. It was clean and a good size with our own bathroom right outside the door. Ann was very welcoming and gave us a lot of information. She offered us coffee when we arrived even though it was the middle of the day. The breakfast is plentiful. There is a lot...

We enjoyed our stay at Griffin Lodge. Ann, the innkeeper welcomed us warmly. The rooms were lovely, the shower, nice and hot, and the breakfast included French Press coffee--my personal favorite.

First: my stay here took place in the spring of 2003, I picked the earliest date allowed. Why am I reviewing more than 7 years later? Because I wasn't a TripAdvisor member then, and my experience is still worth sharing. The Griffin Lodge met or exceeded my expectations. From my first friendly and attentive encounter with the caretaker, Ann, I...

I arrived in Galway via my rental car coming from Dublin. In spite of good directions I was totally lost when I called the B&B. Ann answered my call and to my complete amazement, she asked me where I was and walked out and found me. She then drove me back to the B&B, hauled my luggage in and parked...

Really nice B&B, perfect for our staying in Galway. Perfect location just a couple of minutes walk from spanish arch and main city attractions. The room was spacious and really clean, we booked a double room but the host gave us a triple room so plenty of extra space which made our staying even more confortable! The bathroom was really...

I reserved a room at the Griffin Lodge a week in advance via email. They do not take credit cards so there was no credit card hold - I was just told that a double room with a bathroom would be waiting for me when I arrived. I was also told that I would need to pay in cash (which...

We had a wonderful experience staying at Griffin Lodge! Ann, the hostess, was such fun- friendly, helpful and very funny- we loved her! She gave us great advice, was prompt with all email, and was so welcoming when we arrived! The rooms are basic and clean, the breakfasts are great and the location is perfect for exploring Galway or as...
