Mike and Marine were very good host/hostess. A very relaxed place to hang around. Room was average size. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Wish the WiFi signal was stronger. Had difficulty getting connected and stay connected.

My husband and I arrived at Abbeylee after a long day of driving up the Irish coast from Kinsale, and my husband was sick to boot. The O'Shaugnessys were so welcoming and helpful. They directed us to a nearby restaurant and then we came back and had such a peaceful, quiet and restful night in the Iris Room. Abbeylee is... More

We spent a week at Abbey Lee in October and found it very comfortable and clean with excellent food and amenities. Mike and Mairie were lovely people and welcomed us warmly. The house was conveniently situated for Salthill promenade, and although it was only a short drive, it could easily be walked if you had the energy to walk up... More

We stayed at this B & B for three nights and found it very private, comfortable, and welcoming! Our host, Marie was most helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do while in the Gallway area. As mentioned by another reviewer, we had trouble locating this place as the roads are not clearly marked. There was a good... More

Stayed for two nights at this B&B. This is a lovely B&B. The home is beautifully appointed and the rooms are a comfortable size. The common area is welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and our hostess bent over backwards to accommodate our dietary needs. She also was very helpful when my internet would not work to check in for... More

Stayed at this B&B for 2 nights to begin our vacation in Ireland. The home is clean; the room was comfortable; the bathroom, while on the cozy side, was adequate for our needs. Decent variety of choices for breakfast and everything was well prepared. Approx. 45 min. walk to center Galway city; 15 min. walk to Salthill beach area. The... More

My first experience with a B & B. Very nice owners with nice rooms and great home cooked breakfast to your order. A little hard to find, but worth the hassle getting lost and finding it. Having ensuite bathroom for a B&B is a definite plus.

My family recently stayed for two nights at the Abbeylee in Galway. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean, and cozy. Our hosts, Michael and Marie, were warm, friendly, informative and all together wonderful. Michael and Marie welcome their guests into their home, and treat each person like family. The breakfast, cooked by Marie, is filling and absolutely delicious. We truly... More

This was our first B&B experience in Ireland and it could not have been better. Felt like we were staying with family. Totally recommend if you don't mind staying a bit out of city center. Marie was so helpful and sweet. Breakfast was one of the better we had.
